Role: Motion & Content Production Lead

Location: London, United Kingdom

About the role:

As Motion & Content Production Lead, you'll be the studio's production engine. You'll combine strong traditional motion and editing craft with Pencil and other generative AI tools — including AI video generation, AI voice and narration, and synthetic presenters where appropriate — to deliver at pace without sacrificing quality.

Alongside motion, you'll produce template-based static assets: sales collateral, banners, email and web components, presentations, and event signage. As the year progresses, you'll take on Pencil administration and the template library, becoming central to how the studio runs day to day.

The studio is built around three complementary roles:

  • Content Strategist & AI Copy Lead — shapes the story; owns positioning, messaging, campaign narratives, and intake prioritisation.
  • Motion & Content Production Lead (you) — brings the story to life through video, motion, AI-assisted production, and template-based design.
  • Creative Ops & Design Systems Lead — sets up Pencil, builds templates, and trains the team to run independently.

What you will be doing:

  • Own the production of video, motion, and digital-first content across customer, colleague, and partner channels — from concept, script, and storyboard through edit, grade, sound, and final delivery.
  • Produce product demonstration and launch videos, customer success stories, sales enablement and thought leadership content, internal communications, event content, and social video.
  • Create motion graphics, product explainers, animated infographics, presentation animation, and digital advertising assets.
  • Build interactive content, including product walkthroughs, interactive demos, and rich-media marketing assets.
  • Use Pencil and other approved GenAI tools for AI-assisted video generation, AI voice and narration, and synthetic presenters where appropriate; review AI outputs critically and resolve errors through prompt refinement or traditional editing.
  • Master, re-edit, and adapt assets for different formats, crops, and channels; prepare finished files to the correct output specifications.
  • Produce template-based static assets using the studio's design system and Pencil — including sales collateral, one-pagers, datasheets, display banners, email and web components, social statics, presentations, and event signage.
  • Work with the Content Strategist & AI Copy Lead to turn approved messaging and campaigns into multi-channel motion assets; collaborate with the Creative Ops & Design Systems Lead to build reusable motion templates and toolkits.
  • Take on Pencil administration, the template library, digital asset management, and visual quality review as the studio matures.
  • Apply [Client] brand guidelines and accessibility standards — including subtitles and captions — across all output; liaise with brand, compliance, and legal stakeholders on the responsible use of synthetic and AI-generated media.
  • Experiment with emerging channels, formats, and AI tools; share what works with the team.

What you need to be great in this role:

Must-haves

  • A track record as a senior motion designer, video producer, or content producer in an agency, in-house team, or studio — with a portfolio covering video production, motion graphics, and product demonstration or explainer content, including both traditional and AI-assisted work.
  • Advanced skills in Adobe Creative Cloud (After Effects, Premiere Pro, Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign) and working knowledge of Figma.
  • Strong graphic design and layout skills for static digital and print assets, including presentation design — not just motion.
  • Strong editing skills, including grading and sound design; experience in 2D animation from storyboard to final execution.
  • Hands-on experience with GenAI video and image tools such as Runway, Veo, Synthesia, or Adobe Firefly.
  • A sharp eye for AI-generated output: able to identify errors and resolve them through prompt refinement or further editing.
  • Experience producing B2B marketing content.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects from brief to delivery, keeping pace without losing quality.
  • Solid awareness of the legal and ethical considerations of AI-generated and synthetic media.

Useful but not essential

  • Experience with Pencil or an equivalent AI creative platform (training on Pencil will be provided).
  • Interaction design or rich-media and interactive builds.
  • Experience in financial services or another regulated sector.
  • Live-action filming or 3D experience.
  • Knowledge of accessibility standards for video and motion content.
  • Experience administering a creative platform, template system, or digital asset management tool.
  • Experience with Canva Enterprise.
  • Advanced use of GenAI tools for video, motion, and image production — including Runway, Veo, Synthesia, Adobe Firefly, and Pencil — to enhance creative output and efficiency.
  • Experience designing and refining AI-assisted production workflows for self and, where relevant, others.
  • Rigorous critical evaluation of AI-generated output: applying human judgement to identify errors, maintain brand fidelity, and uphold quality standards.
  • Agentic approach to complex, multi-step production challenges: breaking briefs into components, sequencing work efficiently, and adapting as tools and requirements evolve.
  • Clear understanding of responsible AI use in brand-sensitive and regulated contexts, including synthetic media considerations.
