Job Title: Desktop Artist / Artworker

Role: Freelancer

Duration: 3-6 months

Location: Manila, Philippines 

 

About the role: 

We are seeking a highly disciplined, system-oriented Digital Designer / Artworker to join our global production team. This role is designed for a technical specialist who combines the precision of traditional typography with the efficiency of modern AI and automation.  
 
You will be responsible for the global transcreation of assets, ensuring that brand consistency is maintained across multiple languages and regions. You aren’t just building pages; you are building scalable systems that allow us to produce high-volume, pixel-perfect content at speed. 

 

What you will be doing: 

  • Global Transcreation:Manage the adaptation of master layouts into multiple languages. You will ensure that typographic integrity remains intact across varying character counts, right-to-left (RTL) scripts, and regional formatting requirements.
  • AI & Automation Integration:Oversee AI-driven design tools and automation tools to accelerate production workflows to automate repetitive tasks without sacrificing quality.
  • Production at Scale:Orchestrate the delivery of high-volume document suites, ensuring that global rollout maintains the same mathematical precision on the last page as the first.
  • Technical Layout & Grids:Build and manage complex documents using robust modular and baseline grid systems. You view the grid as a non-negotiable foundation for all work.
  • Typographic Excellence:Execute advanced typesetting with a focus on kerning, tracking, and vertical rhythm. You will manage complex paragraph and character styles to ensure 100% consistency across global files.
  • Template Architecture:Develop "bulletproof," automation-ready InDesign templates. These templates must be engineered to handle text expansion/contraction during the transcreation process.
  • Pre-Flight & Quality Control: Conduct rigorous technical audits of files for print-readiness, including ink limits, overprint settings, and bleed requirements. 

 

What you need to be great in this role: 

  • Minimum of 2-3 years combined experience as an DTP artist or Designer  
  • Experience working for a fast-paced environment, Creative Agency experience. 
  • Has an excellent understanding of the technical constraints and design requirements 
  • Good verbal and written English communication and presentation skills 
  • Deep understanding of Corporate Brand Guidelines  
  • Deep understand of Design systems, typography, technical specifications and design 
  • Understanding of AI tools and automation platforms to streamline the production pipeline. 
  • Experience in handling multi-lingual layouts and how different languages impact design and readability. 
  • Deep understanding of Design systems. 
  • Expert-level Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Acrobat Pro).
  • Passion for and inquisitive about AI and new technologies  
  • Understanding and knowledge of AI tools is beneficial, but ability to learn and digest benefits and features of AI tools is critical
