Role:  Creator Marketing Manager

Location:  Gurgaon, India

About the role:

As the Creator Marketing Manager for Google India’s social channels, you are the voice of Google to millions of Indians. You won't just be "writing copy"—you’ll be building the narrative of how India uses technology to dream, learn, and grow. From high-production brand campaigns to real-time "trend-jacking" and collaborating with India’s top creators, you will ensure Google India remains the most helpful and loved brand on the Indian internet.

What you will be doing:

  • Building the creator infrastructure for the team - identifying, brand safety checks, briefing - end to end process.
  • The Voice of Google India: Define and execute the creative tone for Google India across YouTube Shorts, Instagram, X, and more. You’ll turn "product features" into "cultural moments."
  • Social Storytelling: Lead the end-to-end creation of social-first content—from scripting "day in the life" creator videos to conceptualizing interactive stories about Google Maps or Search trends.
  • Trend-Jacking & Real-Time Content: Monitor the Indian cultural pulse (Cricket, Bollywood, exams, festivals) and find authentic ways for Google to join the conversation.
  • Creator Collaboration: Partner with India's leading influencers and creators to co-create content that feels like a natural part of their feed, not a forced ad.
  • Creative Directing Agencies: Lead and inspire our agency partners, ensuring their output is "social-native" and meets Google’s high bar for craft and empathy.
  • Stakeholder Navigation: Work with global product teams and local marketing leads to translate complex business goals into simple, delightful social content.
  • Budget & Production Ownership: Manage the lifecycle of social productions, from annual agency contracts to specific campaign budgets.

What you need to be great in this role:

  • 8+ years of experience in digital marketing, social media agencies, or content platform preferably in the creator space
  • A portfolio that showcases social-first thinking (not just print ads or TVCs).
  • Experience managing large-scale brand social handles.
  • Exceptional writing skills in English (fluency in Hindi or other Indian languages is a massive plus).
  • Platform Mastery: Deep expertise in YouTube Shorts and Instagram Reels ecosystems.
  • The "Script-to-Screen" Skill: Experience in directing or producing short-form video content.
  • Creator Network: Existing knowledge of or relationships within the Indian creator economy.
  • Analytical Mindset: The ability to look at a Google Trends dashboard or social analytics and say, "There’s a story here."
  • Deep understanding of the creator ecosystem
  • Cultural Intuition: You have a deep love for Indian internet culture and understand the nuances of different regions, languages, and behaviors.
  • The "Maker" Mindset: You aren’t afraid to pick up a phone to shoot a demo or jump into a rough edit to show a vision. You think in "hooks" and "retention."
  • Strategic Creativity: You don't just ideate for "likes"; you ideate to build brand love and solve user problems.
  • Collaboration Skills: You can present a bold, quirky idea to a room of corporate stakeholders and get them excited about it.
  • Operational Excellence: You can manage multiple workstreams (Always-on vs. Big Campaigns) without breaking a sweat.
