Role: GenAI Senior Copywriter

Location: Manila, Philippines 

 

About the role:

We’re looking for GenAI Copywriter who will use the Pencil platform to deliver high quality, high performing ads to either enterprise clients or small businesses. You will likely have a team working with you and by nature of your expertise they will largely engage with you to resolve creative challenges they are coming up against and overcome the limitations of GenAI today.

You will require deep experience with GenAI tools and what they can do for the advertising industry and for marketing clients - as well as the positivity, energy and lateral problem solving to explore and expand techniques to push beyond any perceived creative limitations.  One key measure of your success will be your ability to inspire a team with creative solutions day-to-day. Doing this successfully will deliver impact for our clients and fame for your work, as well as make you one of the leading voices of the GenAI revolution.

 

What you will be doing:

  • Write, research and conceptualise creative, innovative content that brings readership and encourages sharing while best demonstrating GenAl capabilities within a systematic GenAI delivery process.
  • Write short and long form articles for social media platforms.
  • Repurpose existing content for different uses
  • Master a variety of brand voices
  • Work closely with clients to create strong concepts from initial briefing through to execution
  • Set tone and drive creativity, working closely with the Creative Lead to ensure creative excellence
  • Maintain a high awareness of relevant trending topics and news to identify content opportunities
  • Work with our Training team to actively explore, implement and explain new GenAl techniques to help our wider user base achieve high quality creative outputs
  • Work with our Product & Engineering teams to test new GenAl features and provide feedback to drive platform improvements.

As a business we're committed to ensuring everyone on our team is fully trained and confident in using Pencil AI, and other approved AI tools. A wide range of Internal resources are available to make sure our teams stay ahead of the AI curve: training, webinars, newsletters, AI communities etc.

You would be responsible to be actively AI proficient and keeping up to date by:

  • Completing ongoing, structured [IIG] AI training including Pencil.
  • Continuously up-skilling using our approved AI tools including Pencil.
  • Stay up to date with evolving AI trends through our newsletters, webinars, hackathons, AI communities etc
  • Facilitate collaborative knowledge-sharing sessions to foster an open exchange of AI expertise and embrace our culture of Learning.

 

What you need to be great in this role:

  • Strong experience writing for digital. Must have minimum 3+ years of digital agency experience.
  • A background in a corporate or journalism environment
  • A thorough understanding of the language and needs inherent to writing for brands
  • Experience of publishing through social media channels and content management systems
  • A powerful grasp of how content can play out across multiple mediums
  • Able to use data and insight to inform creative
  • A flair for words
  • The ability to think conceptually when needed. Experience working as part of a traditional creative team (designer and copywriter) would be helpful
  • Demonstrated ability to combine and translate complex material from different sources and contexts into stories and content that engage and resonate with target audiences
  • Confident presenting and communicating clearly to other team members and clients.
  • Confident and comfortable working in a fast-paced, changing client environment. 
  • A passionate and inspiring creative. 
  • The aptitude to learn new software and programmes efficiently and effectively. 
  • Self-motivated, working with little supervision. 
  • Collaborative team player, open minded – non-political. 
  • Discrete about all confidential and personal information. 
  • Driven, proactive, helpful, and enthusiastic team player. 
  • Willingness to learn and incorporate AI into design processes.
