Position Overview

Coordinate activities associated with inbound and outbound logistics (both international and domestic) in support of operations at the Our Next Energy 12 Mile facility.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Coordinates receipt of all deliveries to the 12 Mile facility, routing materials to the appropriate location, filing paperwork and performing associated Microsoft D365 transactions.
  • Load/unload trucks by the use of a forklift/pallet jack or hand cart.
  • Ensure shipping arrangements are in place for product in accordance with shipping/production plan.
  • Packing and inspecting shipments certified as Class 9 hazardous materials. The Material Handler will ensure that all Dangerous Goods materials are packed in accordance with UN regulations prior to shipment.
  • Maintains records associated with shipments. Completes shipping and receiving transactions.
  • Will work directly with manufacturing and material control to establish and improve processes which impact efficient shipment of product and movement of materials within the facility.
  • May be asked to assist with material control and inventory management.

Specific Skills/Abilities

  • Thorough understanding of Import/Export Operations, Claims, Contract/Rate Negotiation, Freight Consolidation, Receiving/Shipping Operations
  • Understanding of U.S. Customs Compliance, Duty Drawback
  • Understanding of HTS classifications, USC, NAFTA, and UNDOT regulations.
  • Attention to detail, initiative, good communication skills, and the ability to work effectively with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment.
  • Will be required to operate a forklift
  • Will be required to make appropriate shipping arrangements for Class 9 hazardous materials

Education/Experience

  • At least 5 years of experience in Shipping, Receiving, Inventory Management, or Material Control
  • Solid computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office applications such as Excel, Word, and Outlook. Experience with Microsoft D365 is a plus
  • Experience and/or certified to ship dangerous goods. (If not, Our Next Energy will provide the required training)
  • Willingness to operate or learn to operate a forklift if not already experienced and trained to do so
