The Challenge
The Senior Director of Engineering, Data & AI at OneTrust will make long-term strategic and technical contributions to the GenAI initiatives at OneTrust, and the data platform. These individuals set strategic goals for the team, hire engineers, and prioritize projects. You'll be involved technically, too, developing new products, identifying requirements, and executing with excellence.
Your Mission
- Drive strategic planning and execution while developing key technologies that will enhance OneTrust's long-term, proprietary strategic position.
- Create new concepts from initial design all the way to market release.
- Lead the design and development of complex GenAI applications using Python and related technologies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define product requirements, architecture, and implementation plans.
- Ensure compliance with security regulations while managing software development projects by setting requirements, goals, and timelines.
- Conduct code reviews, ensure adherence to coding standards, and optimize application performance.
- Stay up to date with the latest trends and advancements in GenAI and software development.
You Are
- Experienced overseeing end-to-end development activities while monitoring reliability and performance of all internal systems and suggesting improvements when required.
- Able to design strategies for future development projects based on the company’s overall objectives and resource availability.
- Experienced implementing innovative technologies.
- Comfortable coordinating with internal and external stakeholders.
- Able to ensure projects are delivered according to schedule to the best of your ability.
- Experienced building out onboarding and mentoring programs to teach and train other engineers in order to incubate individual and team growth.
- Able to conduct code reviews and provide feedback to team members.
- Able to troubleshoot and address technical issues.
- Consistently contributing to the development of best practices and coding standards.
- Able to deliver privacy-preserving GenAI capabilities.
Your Experience Includes
- Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, Engineering, or related technical field.
- Minimum of 18+ years of engineering experience with a strong track record of successful development and delivery of complex, enterprise-class software that results in material market impact.
- Minimum 8+ years in a leadership role, managing multiple direct reports at the manager level or higher
- Experience with stakeholder management, influencing and managing multiple stakeholders both internally (executive, sales, marketing, product, support) and externally (analysts, customers, partners).
- Strong strategic thinking and planning abilities, with experience building out long-range products.
- Recent experience in building/deploying generic integration frameworks and workflow-based automation.
- Recent experience working with systems that process millions of integration events per day.
- Recent experience in development, operations, troubleshooting, and managing teams.
- Experience with systems built on Apache Camel or similar technology.
- Experience building cloud services.
- Understanding of how to operate in a DevOps model.
- System design and architecture experience.
- Deep knowledge of data structures and programming.
- Ability to think of various algorithms, given a problem.
- Ability to influence and build collaborative teams.
- Proficiency in Python programming, data structures, algorithms, and design patterns.
- Advanced understanding of GenAI concepts.
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) and cloud-native development.
- Expertise with running web services at scale.
- Deep understanding of AI/ML, specifically NLP.
- Experience with GenAI frameworks like Langchain, LlamaIndex.
- Knowledge of agentic workflows.
For California, Colorado, Connecticut, Nevada, New York, Rhode Island, and Washington-based candidates: the annual base pay range for this role is listed below. Within this range, individual pay is determined by several factors, including location, job-related skills, work experience, and relevant education and/or training. This role may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses, equity, and/or commissions, as well as benefits.
Salary Range
$225,150 - $337,725 USD
