ABOUT THIS ROLE
ML@O is hiring a Project Manager to lead one of our most ambitious and high-impact client engagements. In this role, you'll operate as the “control tower” for a complex, content-heavy, multi-stakeholder program. You’ll ensure seamless orchestration across internal teams, external vendors, and client stakeholders while building clarity, confidence, and calm in a dynamic environment.
This is a highly strategic and operationally rigorous role that blends creative project management with leadership presence. You will manage editorial and creative workflows, foster proactive communication, and implement scalable systems that enable successful delivery of award-winning work. The role reports to the VP, Client Experience and partners closely with cross-functional leaders including creative, insights, and strategy.
Role location: San Francisco Bay Area, California preferred
ACCOUNTABILITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS
As a Project Manager at ML@O, you will …
- Serve as the central project orchestrator for one of ML@O’s most visible accounts.
- Manage multi-format content pipelines across editorial, design, analytics, and development.
- Oversee project documentation, timelines, scopes, and risk assessments.
- Create and maintain delivery calendars, staffing plans, and internal ownership maps.
- Lead scenario planning, proactively navigate blockers, and resolve cross-functional misalignment.
- Introduce structure and systems to fast-moving, creative environments with empathy and clarity.
- Coordinate interdisciplinary team members and external creative vendors with clarity and decisiveness.
- Guide internal teams through ambiguity with sharp foresight and client-centered judgment.
- Ensure alignment between strategy, editorial vision, and delivery realities across all stakeholders.
- Be the face of orchestration to the client—instilling confidence through proactive communication, reliable delivery, and calm under pressure.
- Manage expectations, navigate feedback loops, and hold complexity.
Essential skills:
- At least 3-4 years of project management experience within an agency, newsroom, or content marketing environment.
- Deep fluency in Google Suite, Slack, Zoom, and familiarity with ClickUp, Asana, or Jira.
- Comfortable navigating and commenting in Figma and other collaborative design tools.
- Proven success managing creative content teams, editorial processes, and external partners.
- Composed in fast-paced, high-pressure contexts.
- Presence to confidently manage senior stakeholders and creative peers.
- Skilled at anticipating blockers, seeing patterns, and proposing solutions.
- Able to balance rigor with empathy—keeping the train on the tracks while caring for the team and culture.
WORKING AT ORCHESTRA
Compensation philosophy: Orchestra offers competitive industry rate salary bands with the goal of retaining and growing talented individuals. We regularly review and adjust our compensation structure as needed to ensure equity across teams and levels.
Salary range (commensurate with experience and skills): $80,000-$95,000
