Job Overview:
We are seeking a talented and detail-oriented Data Analyst to join our dynamic team. Based in NYC, you'll work with a global technology company, collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to drive data-driven decision-making. In this role, you will bridge the gap between data and business, ensuring that data is accessible, reliable, and actionable. You will also conduct deep dives to uncover the fundamental levers driving key KPIs and provide strategic recommendations to guide business decisions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work closely with business stakeholders to translate complex business needs into actionable data solutions.
- Translate business requirements into technical specifications to ensure data solutions are aligned with company objectives.
- Develop and maintain reports and dashboards to define track KPIs, providing ongoing monitoring and updates to stakeholders.
- Assist in designing, executing, and analyzing A/B tests and experiments to inform decision-making and optimize processes or products
- Implement, test, and maintain ETL processes and data integration workflows.
Qualifications:
- Fluency in English (both written and spoken) is required for effective communication with the global team.
- Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Analytics, or a related field.
- 1+ years of experience in data engineering, analytics or a similar role.
- Strong proficiency in SQL and data modeling.
- Python, R, or other programming skills for data manipulation.
- Business acumen – ability to understand business processes and translate them into technical data solutions.
- Experience with Google Sheets.
- Familiarity with data visualization tools such as Looker, Tableau, or Power BI.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
- Strong attention to detail and technical rigor.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally.
Nice to Have:
- Experience with modern data stack tools such as dbt, Airflow, or other orchestration and ETL/ELT tools.
- Knowledge of SQL engines/data warehouses such as Presto, Trino, Snowflake or Redshift.
