Position Overview:
The Assistant Planner provides crucial support to the Nike Swim team. This role is essential for daily operational success, accurate reporting, and effective inventory management, building a foundational understanding of sales trends and planning processes.
Responsibilities:
- Work with the Director of Planner to set and achieve sales, margin and inventory goals through the correct assortment and pricing strategy for each account.
- Develop, maintain and analyze Account flow & ladder plans
- Create and review weekly sales reports. Make call-outs to maximize the business to the Planner/Sales team.
- Work with AE and the Design/Merchandising group on a monthly/quarterly basis to share selling information, category information, sku count recommendation, and opportunities for the following season.
- Support the Director of Planning with in-season business decks, ad hoc analysis, and data entry.
- Maintain thumbnail history of selling by style as required by account.
- Build a foundational understanding of inventory management principles, including Open-to-Buy (OTB) and sales trend analysis.
- Assist with planning and forecasting of replenishment buys and related analyses.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Math, or Finance preferred.
- Proven knowledge and strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required. Also Retail Math.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and translate them into actionable insights for inventory and sales.
- Exceptional organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail, especially when handling data.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills for clear collaboration with team members.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Demonstrated knowledge of data analytics principles and experience with information systems.
- Proficiency in Business Objects.
