About the Role: 

The Vice President of Sales at project44 will be a strategic leader responsible for driving our sales vision and growth across all market segments. This role will lead the sales organization, develop and execute strategic sales plans, and drive revenue growth by acquiring new customers and expanding relationships with existing clients. The VP of Sales will work closely with the executive team to align sales strategies with company goals, fostering a high-performance sales culture and ensuring the delivery of exceptional value to our customers. 

Key Accountabilities: 

  • Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy that aligns with project44’s business objectives and drives revenue growth. Lead and inspire the sales team to achieve and exceed sales targets. 
  • Revenue Growth: Identify new business opportunities and drive sales efforts to expand market share. Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers and strategic partners. 
  • Team Development: Recruit, mentor, and develop a high-performing sales team. Implement training programs and best practices to enhance sales capabilities and performance. 
  • Sales Operations: Oversee the sales pipeline, forecasting, and reporting processes. Utilize data-driven insights to optimize sales strategies and improve operational efficiency. 
  • Customer Engagement: Collaborate with customers to understand their needs and deliver tailored solutions that address their challenges. Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and retention. 
  • Market Intelligence: Stay abreast of industry trends, competitive landscape, and emerging technologies. Use market insights to inform sales strategies and drive innovation. 

Requirements & Skills: 

  • Experience: Proven track record of success in senior sales leadership roles, ideally within the SaaS or supply chain technology sectors. Experience managing large sales teams and achieving significant revenue growth. 
  • Strategic Thinking: Strong strategic and analytical skills with the ability to develop and execute sales plans that align with business objectives. Experience in driving growth through new customer acquisition and existing customer expansion. 
  • Leadership: Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to inspire, motivate, and develop a high-performing sales team. Proven ability to manage and mentor sales professionals. 
  • Customer Focus: Deep understanding of customer needs and the ability to deliver tailored solutions that drive customer satisfaction and loyalty. 
  • Communication: Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage with executives, customers, and partners at all levels. 
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred. 
  • Technology Savvy: Familiarity with CRM systems, sales analytics tools, and other sales technology. Experience with Salesforce or similar platforms is a plus. 
  • Location: This leader needs to be based in our "East Region" (Northeast, Mid-Atlantic, and Southeast states)
