At PublicSquare, we’re on a mission to scale smartly. As the newest member of our HR team, the HR Operations Specialist will be ready to scale our systems and support recruiting efforts to attract top talent as we grow rapidly. We’re looking for someone hungry, versatile, and ready to tackle challenges with a smile. In the early going the role will split about 70% recruiting / recruiting support and 30% human resources. By mid Q3 we expect this ration to reverse as we ramp our new hires and set them up for success.
A Glimpse of What You’ll Be Doing:
- Recruit Like a Pro: Manage our ATS and career boards, Post job openings, screen resumes, schedule interviews, conduct preliminary interviews and keep candidates engaged throughout the pipeline.
- Keep Things Running: From maintaining employee records and compliance to managing SUI/Withholding accounts across states for multiple EINs, you’ll handle critical administrative tasks with ease. Updating HR databases, generating reports, scheduling travel, calendar management.
- Onboarding: Carry-out the onboarding process to give every new hire the warmest welcome and smoothest start possible.
- Payroll: Ensure accurate and timely payroll processing, managing multi-state compliance, deductions, and adjustments while keeping everything running smoothly for our growing team.
- Handle the Essentials:
- Process FMLA, Sick/PTO and other leave requests
- Handling multi-state compliance
- Provide support with company Benefits (health insurance, RSUs, 401(k), etc.)
- Be the Glue: Assist with office management tasks like event planning, keeping the office stocked and organized, run errands and making sure everyone has what they need to thrive.
Who You Are:
- A ray of sunshine who radiates motivation and positivity.
- A detail-oriented multitasker who thrives in a fast-paced environment.
- Tech-savvy to your core – Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Slides, etc.), HRIS and ATS systems and advanced spreadsheets are your jam.
- A problem-solver with 2+ years of HR experience, a bachelor’s degree, and PHR or SHRM certification.
- Someone who can handle sensitive information like a vault and embrace the chaos of a growing startup.
