Razorpay was founded by Shashank Kumar and Harshil Mathur in 2014. Razorpay is building a new-age digital banking hub (Neobank) for businesses in India with the mission is to enable frictionless banking and payments experiences for businesses of all shapes and sizes. What started as a B2B payments company is processing billions of dollars of payments for lakhs of businesses across India. 

We are a full-stack financial services organisation, committed to helping Indian businesses with comprehensive and innovative payment and business banking solutions built over robust technology to address the entire length and breadth of the payment and banking journey for any business. Over the past year, we've disbursed loans worth millions of dollars in loans to thousands of businesses. In parallel, Razorpay is reimagining how businesses manage money by simplifying business banking (via Razorpay X) and enabling capital availability for businesses (via Razorpay Capital). 

The Role:

You will be responsible to lead the sales & operations teams towards achieving the organization objectives primarily focused on scaling new customer acquisitions and overseeing engagement & support to existing customers. 

Roles and Responsibilities :

  • Key partner in Strategy formulation: Working closely with the Head & other senior leadership to define short and long term strategy for the business
  • Sales Leadership: Drive the growth engine for the company by building right sales processes & structures within & across teams
  • Develop detailed sales plans & strategies and drive its implementation
  • Define & own the right metrics / measurement for monitoring performance
  • Customer Experience Champion: Ensure that we are providing a world-class customer experience by improving our customer facing processes and finding new ways to provide customer delight
  • Formulate and run new initiatives: Build robust processes to manage new initiatives with existing bandwidth for growth experiments
  • Relationship & stakeholder management: Establish excellent working relations with all internal and external partners with an emphasis on removing roadblocks for business success. You would be getting the opportunity to liaise with cross BUs to drive success of RazorpayX
  • Talent Management: Talent acquisition, retention, and career progressions - identify and groom talent, & plan succession

Mandatory Qualifications:

  • At least 8 - 12 years of experience in a senior leadership role in Sales, GTM Strategy, Business Development, or other related fields
  • Experience working within a high-growth, tech company OR Experience in a Banking corporate office, retail business is desirable. Exposure on Liabilities business in Banking OR Fintech or Banking Consulting background
  • Governance, Oversight, and Controls: Strong leadership capabilities and management skills, with the ability to deliver effective outcomes 
  • Awareness and understanding of the regulatory framework in which the firm operates, and the regulatory requirements and expectations relevant to the role
