Manager - Growth Marketing (SME & Mid-Market)
Razorpay was founded by Shashank Kumar and Harshil Mathur in 2014. Razorpay is building a new-age digital banking hub (Neobank) for businesses in India with the mission is to enable frictionless banking and payments experiences for businesses of all shapes and sizes. What started as a B2B payments company is processing billions of dollars of payments for lakhs of businesses across India.
About the Role
We’re looking for a hands-on, creative Growth Hacker to drive merchant acquisition and reduce churn across SME and mid-market segments in Singapore and Malaysia. In this high-impact role, you'll design and execute campaigns that generate sales-qualified leads (SQLs) and improve merchant activation and retention.
You’ll work closely with the sales, onboarding, and product teams to own the entire journey — from prospecting to post-onboarding communication — and play a key role in building scalable demand generation engines in a fast-paced payments environment.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Plan and run targeted growth campaigns to acquire SME and mid-market merchants, with a focus on driving qualified leads that convert to transacting accounts.
- Own digital performance marketing (Google, Meta, LinkedIn, etc.), continuously testing and optimising for lead quality and conversion.
- Lead merchant marketing communication — design email journeys, nudges, and lifecycle campaigns to help new merchants activate and start transacting.
- Collaborate with the sales team to define Ideal Customer Profile, build tailored campaigns, and improve lead-to-merchant conversion.
- Support on-ground marketing initiatives such as SME events, industry fairs, and association partnerships that generate demand.
- Work closely with onboarding and support teams to identify drop-off points and create re-engagement campaigns that reduce churn.
- Develop dashboards and reports to monitor SQLs, activation rates, cost per lead, and conversion to MTUs.
- Build and maintain scalable growth playbooks and reusable campaign assets.
Mandatory Qualifications
- 4–7 years of experience in growth marketing, digital marketing, or demand generation, ideally in fintech, SaaS, or payments.
- Proven track record of acquiring and activating SME and mid-market leads at scale.
- Deep understanding of digital marketing channels, B2B funnels, and CRM tools (HubSpot, GA4, etc.).
- Strong ownership mindset with the ability to launch fast, test often, and iterate based on data.
- Experience crafting marketing journeys and lifecycle communications for early-stage merchant engagement.
- Bonus: experience working with or selling into SMEs in SEA markets, and a passion for building in early-stage, fast-moving environments.
