Who we are looking for
We are looking for an experienced Manufacturing Engineer with a strong work ethic towards aerospace assembly, development, and production. The preferred candidate will showcase proven experience in UAS manufacturing and engineering, a comprehensive understanding of assembly and manufacturing processes, and the capacity to lead cross-functional teams. What you get to do
You'll play a pivotal role in standing up and leading the commissioning and improvement of a new manufacturing line for UASs. Your responsibilities will include:
- Defining new processes and ensuring efficient integration of new products.
- Coordinating assembly and integration processes, ensuring quality and safety.
- Identifying assembly needs for new products and optimizing fixtures and tooling.
- Generating production documentation.
- Reducing variability in manufacturing with standard work methods.
- Liaising with other engineers to improve production and costs.
- Leading and supporting technicians and trainee engineers.
- Implementing FMEAs and process improvements.
- Ensuring compliance with all safety and regulatory requirements.
What you bring to the Team
- Established track record in UAS manufacturing and engineering.
- A 4-year degree in Manufacturing, Aerospace, or Electromechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Ability to develop detailed work instructions and inspection criteria.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a logical approach.
- Experience in training others and leading cross-functional teams.
- Understanding of lean manufacturing principles.
- Basic knowledge of electronics and proficiency with CAD software and MS Office.
- Strong documentation and technical writing skills.
- Experience with FMEA and lean continuous improvement tools.
