Who we are looking for
Re:Build Manufacturing is seeking a transformative Vice President of Finance for our Launchpad Businesses to architect and lead a comprehensive support ecosystem for our portfolio of emerging businesses. Reporting directly to the CFO, you will create the financial, operational, and strategic infrastructure needed to nurture our Launchpad businesses from incubation through spin-out, in close coordination with our Re:Accelerate fund.
This role uniquely combines CFO-level strategic leadership, business-building expertise, and portfolio management. You will design scalable frameworks while providing hands-on support—establishing processes, building teams, and shaping how Re:Build supports its next generation of businesses.
What you get to do!
Strategic Leadership
- Design and implement a comprehensive lifecycle support model for Launchpad businesses from incubation through Re:Accelerate funding and spin-out
- Establish standardized spin-out processes including governance, financial separation, and capital structures
- Develop business processes enabling Launchpad companies to leverage Re:Build's internal capabilities
- Lead capital allocation strategy, investment structuring, transaction support, and due diligence
Portfolio & Operations Management
- Oversee all finance activities for Re:Build's Launchpad portfolio
- Maintain comprehensive records on investments, capital allocation, and performance
- Partner with leadership on portfolio strategy, governance, and board reporting
- Support pricing and commercial deal underwriting for portfolio companies
Team Building & Business Partnership
- Build and lead a high-performing finance team supporting accounting, FP&A, and analytics across multiple entities
- Implement financial systems, reporting infrastructure, and analytics tools tailored to early-stage businesses
- Serve as strategic advisor to Launchpad General Managers, providing meaningful financial analysis and insights
- Provide hands-on strategic and transaction support for key portfolio companies (e.g., Cadonix, Drone) Financial Management
- Develop budgeting and forecasting processes tailored to early-stage and high growth businesses
- Monitor performance metrics and provide regular reporting to CFO, executive leadership, and boards
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal control frameworks
- Lead quarterly business reviews, board presentations, and investor communications
What you bring to the Team
Experience
- 15-20+ years of progressive finance leadership with demonstrated success building and scaling finance organizations
- CFO or senior finance executive experience in start-up, high-growth, or venture backed environments
- Track record of supporting new business unit launches, establishing financial rigor from the ground up
- Experience with business transitions, spin-outs, carve-outs, or asset sales
- Background in portfolio management, private equity, venture capital, or corporate development preferred
- History of building and leading high-performing finance teams across multiple sites
Skills & Capabilities
- Strategic finance leader driving financial performance and transformative change
- Experience with investor relations, fundraising, capital structures, and board-level reporting
- Strong business acumen with experience in pricing strategy, commercial analytics, and deal underwriting
- Deep expertise in FP&A with ability to adapt frameworks for businesses at different lifecycle stages
- Diversified P&L management experience (in terms of size, industry, & business model)
- Proficiency implementing financial systems, ERP platforms, and analytics tools
Leadership
- Proven ability to build, lead, and develop high-performing, inclusive teams
- Collaborative leadership style with ability to partner across functional boundaries
- Outstanding communication skills with experience presenting to boards, investors, and executive teams
- Entrepreneurial mindset with comfort operating in ambiguous, evolving environments
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Business, or related field required
- MBA, or relevant experience preferred Location & Travel
- Based in office at our Framingham, MA office with 20-30% travel
Compensation
Compensation: The anticipated base salary range for this role is [$180,000 - $270,000]. Final compensation will be determined based on experience, qualifications, and internal equity. This role is also eligible for annual bonus and long-term incentive compensation (LTIP), in addition to a competitive benefits package.
