Senior Electrical Engineer, Power Electronics

We are looking for a Senior Electrical Engineer specializing in Power Electronics to lead the design and optimization of advanced power systems for robotic solutions. This role focuses on creating efficient, high-performance systems and solving complex challenges in power distribution and energy management.
Responsibilities:
- Design and develop power electronics, including DC-DC converters, inverters, and motor controllers.
- Develop battery management systems (BMS) and charging solutions.
- Optimize power distribution systems for efficiency and safety.
- Conduct thermal and electrical simulations to validate designs.
- Integrate power electronics into robotic platforms in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
- Troubleshoot and debug power electronics issues at all levels.
- Lead testing procedures for power systems, including accelerated life and stress testing.
- Author design documentation, schematics, and technical specifications.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Power Electronics, or related field.
- 7+ years of experience in power electronics design, preferably in robotics or related industries.
- Proficiency in motor controllers, inverters, and DC-DC converters.
- Experience with battery systems, including BMS design and lithium-ion technologies.
- Hands-on experience with PCB design tools (e.g., Altium Designer).
- Strong troubleshooting skills with diagnostic tools (oscilloscopes, analyzers, etc.).
- Must be on-site with no remote work option.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with high-power systems (>2 kW) and wide-bandgap semiconductors (SiC, GaN).
- Knowledge of communication protocols such as CAN, EtherCAT, or Modbus.
- Familiarity with regulatory standards (IEC 61508, ISO 26262, UL 60950).
- Firmware development for power electronics systems.
- Experience with thermal and structural analysis using FEA tools.
