Field Activation Specialist - FIFA Canada Celebrates Tour

ROLE OVERVIEW: 

We're hiring a Field Activation Specialist to tour with the FIFA Canada Celebrates Tour, a national, multi-city touring program across Canada. As an Activation Specialist you will be an essential on-the-ground team member supporting the execution. This is a road-based role requiring full-time travel for the duration of the tour. You will work closely with the Tour Director and fellow crew members to bring large-scale brand activations to life across multiple markets. From load-in to live event execution to final load-out, you will help ensure every stop runs smoothly, safely, and successfully. 

This role is ideal for someone who is outgoing, dependable, and thrives in fast-paced festival and event environments. You’re comfortable engaging with consumers, rolling up your sleeves for physical work, and representing world-class brands with energy and professionalism. 

 

RESPONSIBILTIES: 

• On-Site Execution 

• Travel cross-country for the duration of the tour 

• Execute load-in and load-out of all activation assets at each market 

• Assist with truck unloading, asset setup, staging, signage placement, and technical elements 

• Support safe teardown, packing, and truck reload according to established truck pack plans 

• Maintain cleanliness and organization of activation footprint and storage areas 

• Festival & Partner Activation Support 

• Help operate festival and event activations on behalf of brand partners 

• Engage consumers in a friendly, knowledgeable, and enthusiastic manner 

• Ensure sponsor deliverables and brand standards are executed accurately 

• Troubleshoot minor on-site issues and escalate larger concerns to Activations Manager 

• Asset Management & Care 

• Assist in maintaining activation assets throughout the tour 

• Report damages or repair needs and support basic on-site fixes where possible 

• Ensure assets are handled, stored, and transported properly to maintain quality 

• Team & Professionalism 

• Collaborate closely with touring crew members to ensure efficient daily operations 

• Support a positive, team-first culture on the road 

• Adhere to all safety protocols and health & safety guidelines 

• Represent SALT and brand partners with professionalism at all times 

  

EXPERIENCE & SKILLS: 

• Education in Sport Management, Marketing, Sport Marketing, or a related field is considered an asset 

• Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions 

• Forklift certification and/or hands-on forklift operating experience is considered an asset, but not required 

• Strong interpersonal skills with an outgoing and energetic personality 

• Ability to take direction and also work independently when needed 

• Reliable, punctual, and adaptable to changing schedules 

• Calm under pressure with a solutions-oriented mindset 

• Strong teamwork skills and positive attitude 

  

REQUIREMENTS: 

• Must be willing and able to travel for the full duration of the national tour 

• Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and long event days 

• Ability to perform physical labor, including lifting up to 50 lbs 

• Comfortable with repeated load-in and load-out responsibilities 

• Ability to stand for extended periods of time 

• Valid driver’s license
