Production Planning Coordinator I
What's the Short Version?
The Production Planning Coordinator I supports the Production Planning Department by aligning purchase order data in multiple systems and sending purchase orders to vendors in various ways. Coordinators enter and process data, complete updates and ensure accuracy for purchase orders in our ERP system, this provides ETA information for our customers as well as internal teams. This role also tracks inbound shipments and uses various documents and systems to update POs for discrepancies.
What Will You Be Doing?
- Responsible for ensuring purchase orders are entered correctly into PO ERP system (D365).
- Submit PO’s to vendors through the Next platform or via email.
- Maintain accurate data in order tracking tools.
- Review tasks submitted by vendors through the Nexus platform – accept or reject with communication.
- Perform PO adjustments manually in D365.
- Export PO copies and reports from ERP and Nexus systems to send to Planners and Vendors.
- Communicate with SanMar Regional offices on PO confirmation, updates and issues.
- Assist Production Planners with making Air Requests to Vendors to fill inventory holes.
- Use various systems to research information to answer I Forms from Sales team for ETA information.
- Track inbound shipments; receive documents and make adjustments to purchase orders for discrepancies.
- Work in multiple systems throughout the day to complete various work tasks, ensuring all systems are accurate and reflect the same PO information.
- Work cross-functionally with Planners, Product Development, PD Ops, Regional Offices, Logistics and Distribution.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

What Are We Looking For?
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- At least 1 year of Planning Operations, Administrative or Supply Chain experience or related field
- Must have strong attention to detail and be consistently accurate and organized
- Proficiency in or willingness to learn Microsoft Office, D365 and Nexus
- Experience with entering data and looking up information in ERP systems
- Able to handle a high volume of work and be able to prioritize
- Ability to see the bigger picture and understand the order of operations
- Ability to research and apply information related to job functions
- Excellent communication, time management, multi-task and organizational skills
- Must be a team player that treats co-workers with respect and is willing to jump in and help the team as needed
- Exceptional problem-solving and analytical skills
- Self-starter with little supervision needed
What's Our Offer?
Salary Range: You`ll earn between $21.50 - $30.00 on an hourly basis, depending on experience.
Bonus: You`ll be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus up to 5% of base salary.
Paid Time Off: You`ll accrue paid time off on a weekly basis based on hours worked up to 112 hours per year to start. Employees also receive 8 paid holidays and 1 paid family day off.

What Should You Expect?
Remote: Our standard working hours are 8:00-5:00 PST. Periodic travel may be required. The employee is regularly required to sit for extended periods while working on a computer and participating in virtual and in-person meetings. Frequent use of hands for keyboarding and standard office equipment is required. Occasional standing, walking, and reaching may be needed to attend meetings or collaborate in an office setting. The role requires the ability to perform close visual work on a computer for extended periods. The employee may occasionally lift and/or move up to 10–15 pounds.
