Job Description: Data Scientist Semi Senior

We are looking for a Data Scientist Semi Senior to join our team. The role will focus on the development of forecasting and advanced analytics models, with a direct impact on the demand planning processes. The position requires a strong analytical orientation and the ability to work closely with Planning, Revenue, and Business teams.

Responsibilities

• Forecasting & Modeling: Develop, improve, and maintain demand forecasting models using time series, statistical models, and Machine Learning.
• Data Analysis: Analyze sales history, promotions, seasonality, and external variables to anticipate demand behavior.
• Data Engineering: Build analytical datasets and perform feature engineering using SQL and Python, ensuring data quality and consistency.
• Performance Evaluation: Monitor model performance using specific metrics such as MAPE, WAPE, and RMSE.
• Strategic Collaboration: Work alongside planners and stakeholders to interpret results and translate them into concrete business actions.
• Documentation & Improvement: Document models, assumptions, and analytical processes, proposing continuous improvements in the area's analytical methodologies.

Requirements

• Education: Degree in quantitative fields (Engineering, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Systems, or related).
• Experience: 2 to 4 years of professional experience in Data Science, Analytics, or Demand Planning roles.
• Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in Python (Pandas, Numpy, Scikit-learn, Statsmodels) and SQL for large-scale data manipulation.
• Specialization: Proven experience in demand forecasting, ideally within the mass consumer goods industry, with solid knowledge of applied statistics and time series.
• English: Advanced English proficiency is required.
• Soft Skills: Ability to understand business processes and collaborate effectively with non-technical teams.

Desirable

• Experience with PySpark / Spark and large-scale data processing.
• Experience in cloud environments (Azure, AWS, or GCP).
• Proficiency in visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau).
• Knowledge of MLOps or model versioning (Git, MLflow).
• Experience in Supply Chain planning integrated with business processes.
