Job Description:
We are looking for a hands-on engineer to work across product and platform in an industrial software environment. You will design, build, and operate distributed applications and shared infrastructure, ensuring reliable local and cloud deployments across multiple repositories and teams.
This role combines:
- Full-stack delivery (frontend + BFF + microservices),
- Platform engineering (Kubernetes, observability, CI/CD),
- Developer enablement (tooling, build pipelines, private package feeds, local dev workflows).
Key Responsibilities
- Build and maintain microservice-based systems and BFFs (TypeScript/Node/Bun and .NET).
- Split and evolve app/platform boundaries across repositories (application vs shared infrastructure).
- Own containerization and deployment workflows using Docker Compose and Helm.
- Operate Kubernetes-based environments (local clusters + cloud clusters).
- Manage secure package consumption from private registries/feeds (Azure Artifacts, scoped npm feeds).
- Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines in Azure DevOps for build, test, release, and deployment.
- Improve developer experience for multi-repo, multi-service local development.
- Implement and maintain observability stack (Prometheus, Grafana, Loki, Tempo, OpenTelemetry).
- Troubleshoot complex cross-cutting issues (networking, auth, registry routing, build secrets, runtime config).
- Contribute to architecture decisions, documentation, and platform standards.
Required Skills
- Strong full-stack engineering experience in modern web platforms.
- TypeScript/JavaScript (Node.js; Bun is a plus), package management (pnpm/npm).
- .NET / C# service ecosystem familiarity.
- Docker & Docker Compose (multi-service orchestration, build contexts, BuildKit secrets).
- Kubernetes fundamentals (contexts, namespaces, services, ingress, secrets, configmaps, health checks).
- Helm (chart structure, values strategy, dependencies, environment overrides).
- Azure DevOps pipelines (YAML templates, CI/CD, artifact handling, build/release flow).
- Private registry/feed auth (Azure Artifacts/npm scopes, PAT handling, secure secret injection).
- Git workflows in multi-repo environments.
- Strong debugging and root-cause analysis across build/deploy/runtime layers.
Nice-to-Have
- Experience with OpenTelemetry, Prometheus, Grafana, Loki, Tempo.
- Experience with RabbitMQ, PostgreSQL, MSSQL, Keycloak.
- Experience with reverse proxies (Nginx/Caddy) and API gateway patterns.
- Experience in industrial/logistics domains (WCS, fleet management, automation).
- Experience with monorepos and shared package architectures.
Security & Quality Expectations
- Never commit secrets or tokens to repositories.
- Use environment- and user-level credential strategies with secure build-time secret injection.
- Build reproducible local and CI environments.
- Write/maintain clear runbooks and troubleshooting documentation.
- Promote testability, reliability, and operational visibility by default.
Soft Skills
- Strong ownership and communication across frontend, backend, and DevOps boundaries.
- Ability to coordinate with multiple teams and external dependencies.
- Pragmatic decision-making with clear tradeoff analysis.
- Mentoring mindset and commitment to engineering standards.
