Managing Partner
Role Summary:
The Country Head / Managing Partner is responsible for leading and growing the Ogilvy Africa agency business in Tanzania. This leadership role involves developing and implementing strategic plans, overseeing all agency operations, driving client growth and satisfaction, fostering a positive and high-performing work environment, and strengthening the Ogilvy brand presence in the market. The Country Head / Managing Partner will collaborate closely with regional leadership and discipline heads to achieve agency objectives and contribute to the overall success of the Ogilvy Africa Network.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leadership & Strategy: Develop and implement strategic plans and company policies to drive agency growth and profitability. Provide overall leadership and direction to the Tanzania office.
- Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, ensuring their satisfaction and identifying opportunities for growth within existing accounts. Engage in broader business dialogues with clients at senior levels.
- Operational Management: Oversee all agency operations, including finance, human resources, and client services. Ensure efficient and effective resource allocation.
- Financial Performance: Manage the agency's financial performance, including budgeting, forecasting, and reporting. Work with the SSA CEO and CFO to develop and deliver the annual business plan. Identify and pursue new income opportunities.
- Team Leadership & Development: Lead, manage, and mentor agency staff, fostering a positive and high-performing work environment. Implement performance management programs and provide opportunities for professional development. Champion the 7 beliefs of the Ogilvy Africa Network and Ogilvy's global "Do Values."
- Collaboration: Collaborate effectively with the SSA CEO, discipline heads, and other agency leads within the Ogilvy Africa Network. Foster a collaborative approach to management and ensure alignment across different functions.
- New Business Development: Identify and pursue new business opportunities, participating in pitches and presentations. Work with the team to develop compelling credentials and pursue industry awards.
- Industry Knowledge: Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in advertising and marketing.
Role Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Marketing, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
- Experience: At least 15 years of overall experience in the advertising or marketing industry, with a significant portion in a leadership/senior management role. Proven track record of managing diverse high-performing teams and achieving business goals.
