
Accounting Associate
The Role
We are seeking a highly qualified Accountant to join our newly established accounting team in APAC. This individual will be responsible for the day-to-day work associated with our foreign management companies located in Hong Kong, Singapore, Japan and Australia.
What you’ll do
The role will encompass the following:
- Assist with the month-end close process
- Prepare and track various schedules (Accruals, Fixed Assets, Prepaid Expenses, Lease & ROU, Transfer Pricing, etc.)
- Perform variance analysis
- Post monthly billing entries
- Maintain internal cash reconciliation and record cash movements
- Reconcile monthly balances to fund administrator
- Compile and distribute monthly expense detail reports
- Assist with annual audits, tax filings and regulatory reporting
- Assist with monitoring and maintaining appropriate financial controls, policies and procedures to support existing operations and continued growth of the firm
What you’ll bring
- Undergraduate degree in Accounting or Finance
- CA, CPA or equivalent accounting qualification
- Relevant work experience gained either in-house within financial services or in public accounting
- Strong working knowledge using Excel (e.g. pivot tables, sumifs, index match, etc.)
- Strong sense of personal responsibility and ownership of assigned projects and tasks
- Process and detail oriented with a strong work ethic and team focused attitude
- Able to adapt to frequent changes in the business operating environment
- Highly organized and self-motivated
We’d love if you had:
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics Navision
