Payroll Specialist

What you’ll do:
- Support the processing of semi-monthly, weekly, off-cycle, and equity transaction payrolls for approximately 900 employees across multiple locations in and outside of the US
- Collaborate with HR, Benefits and Management teams to support accurate and timely payroll delivery
- Utilize various software platforms to create reports to provide data to Finance, HR, SOX, FP&A and management teams on both a regular and ad hoc basis
- Prepare fundamental monthly journal entries for payroll transactions
- Conduct regular payroll platform audits to include multi-state tax compliance and employee data configuration
- Provide clerical support for visa taxation, incoming mail, tax agency notices, and HRIS/Payroll system issue resolution
- Perform semi-monthly reconciliations of payroll tax transactions and 401k contributions
- Support various annual external audit processes with data collection and deadline adherence
- Work closely with the Senior Payroll Administrator and Senior Payroll Manager to provide the best in support to our internal and external customers
- Keep up to date on changes in payroll and labor law rules and regulations to ensure compliance
What you should have:
- A minimum of three years of payroll processing experience in a multi-state environment (multi-country is a plus)
- Working knowledge of payroll requirements and state and federal tax codes
- Background in Payroll/HRIS systems utilization – UKG Pro (formerly UltiPro) and/or Dayforce is preferred, but not required
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and/or Google Suite applications (intermediate Excel and/or Google Sheets skills are required)

Estimated base salary: $60k - $80k. Actual compensation package is dependent on a number of factors, including, for example, experience, education, degrees held, market data, and business needs.
