Senior Producer - External Development
Scopely is looking for a Senior Producer to join an Unannounced Title working with External Development, based in Culver City on a hybrid basis or remotely in the US.
We are in the early stages of development on an ambitious, unannounced AAA mobile game, and we’re assembling a team of passionate game makers to craft unforgettable environments and immersive adventures that players will love.
At Scopely, we care deeply about what we do and want to inspire play, every day - whether in our work environments alongside our talented colleagues, or through our deep connections with our communities of players. We are a global team of game lovers who are developing, publishing and innovating the mobile games industry, connecting millions of people around the world daily.
Slate Development Group owns Scopely’s editorial and content strategy, including the company’s greenlighting, Game Development Framework (GDF), studio strategy (organic and inorganic) and slate-wide budget and investment strategy.
What You Will Do:
The Senior Producer will be instrumental in driving collaboration and execution across the development, publishing, and live operations teams to support our ambitious new AAA game. In this role, you will work closely with internal and external partners to manage the release strategy, ensure flawless execution, and maintain overall production readiness from a release management perspective. This is a unique opportunity to make a significant and lasting impact on the game's success.
- Own the production of game builds, releases, launches, updates, and internal technical integration.
- Collaborate with development, publishing, technology, and central operations teams to ensure smooth game releases through the GDF (Game Development Framework) gates.
- Become the project expert on 1st party (e.g., Apple & Google) requirements, regulations, and processes. This involves, but is not limited to, managing certification, store setup, In-App Purchase (IAP) setup, pre-registration setup, and the build submission pipeline.
- Collaborate with the Executive Producer to establish and refine overall processes, ensuring all workflows are optimized for efficiency and effectiveness throughout the game's lifecycle.
- Be prepared to dive into the details and provide hands-on assistance whenever necessary. This may involve troubleshooting issues, creating documentation, or directly supporting the team to ensure project momentum.
- Implement Best Practices for Cross-Functional Collaboration while working with various cross-functional teams (e.g., QA, Loc, Central Ops, etc) to ensure seamless coordination and that all activities align with the game’s launch strategy and ongoing support
- Support External Development. Lead and coordinate with external developers to ensure timely progress on specific areas of focus and maintain alignment across all relevant aspects of the project.
What We’re Looking For:
- At least 6 years of production experience in the video game industry and with AAA game development experience.
- Proven track record in managing and coordinating production efforts across various stages of mobile or PC live-service games.
- Demonstrated experience managing the process of planning, executing and maintaining consistent output of release management needs across tech, localization, QA, and other dependencies.
- Proven track record of delivering results, coupled with a strong passion for effectively using and collaborating with various applications to drive project success, adapting as necessary to meet job demands.
- Demonstrated ability to develop comprehensive schedules, monitor task progress and deliverables, and achieve timely completion of project objectives. Proven experience in organizing activities and providing oversight to ensure project adherence and meet deadlines.
- Experience working with executives in a fast-paced, agile environment. The ideal candidate will approach the job with a great sense of urgency, enjoy taking the initiative, thrive at juggling multiple priorities, and seamlessly shift gears as needed.
- Analytical, observant, and strategic, applying the right balance between data and qualitative information to decision-making.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in both Mandarin & English.
- International travel to China on a quarterly basis is expected.
Please ensure that the résumé/CV you attach is written in English.
