What you’ll do

The Internal Communications Specialist will support the Corporate Communications Manager in identifying how we reach and engage our employees with timely, consistent and relevant communications. Additionally, you will help shape and drive our employer brand and culture.

Become part of an iconic brand that is set to revolutionize the electric pick-up truck & rugged SUV marketplace by achieving the following:

• Assist in shaping and executing communication strategies that align with corporate objectives
• Ensure consistent messaging across all internal communication channels
• Partner with key functions to discover and create compelling content for various internal communication channels, including the Scout News weekly communication and all-employee meetings
• Maintain and manage the internal editorial calendar, ensuring timely and relevant content delivery
• Draft and distribute weekly internal newsletter
• Support in planning and executing our monthly all-employee meetings
• Partner with key functions to support and implement other internal communication projects as needed, including culture work and the introduction of our intranet
• Identify and implement various processes and tools to improve how we collaborate and communicate
• Assist in crafting key messages and communication materials for executives
• Measure and analyze the effectiveness of communication strategies and campaigns, providing insights and recommendations for improvement

Location & Travel Expectations: The responsibilities of this role require attendance at in-person meetings and events regularly. This role will be based out of the Scout Motors location in Novi, MI. Applicants should expect that the role will require the ability to convene with Scout colleagues in person and travel to participate in events on behalf of the company from time to time.

• Bachelor's degree in communications, public relations, journalism, or a related field. Advanced degree is a plus
• Experience in corporate communications, public relations, or a related field
• Experience in maintaining an editorial calendar and producing internal newsletters
• Experience working with content management systems to manage and deliver internal communications
• Knowledge of current communication trends and best practices
• Excellent writing and editing skills, with the ability to create compelling and clear content
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
• Familiarity with the automotive or manufacturing industry is desirable

Pay Transparency

This is a full-time, exempt position eligible to receive a base salary and to participate in an annual performance bonus program. Final salary offered will be determined based on factors including but not limited to the candidate's skills and experience. The annual performance bonus program is preset and not candidate dependent.

Initial base salary range = $100,000-$115,000

Internal leveling code: IC9
