Post-Production Specialist

United States

Here at Scout Motors, we're carrying forward the heritage of one of the most iconic American vehicles in history. A vehicle dating back to 1960. One that forged the path for future generations of rugged SUVs and will do so once again.

But Scout is more than just a brand, it’s a legacy steeped in a culture of exploration, caretaking, and hard work.

The Scout brand is all about respect. Respect for the environment by developing electric vehicles with the capability to get you to any location. Respect for the past and the future by taking an iconic American brand that hasn’t been around for a while, electrifying it, digitizing it, and loading it with American innovation. Respect for communities by creating a company that stands for its people and its customers. And respect for both work and play, with vehicles that are equally at home at a camp site, a job site, or on a Tuesday commute.

At Scout Motors, we empower our talented, inclusive, and entrepreneurial teams to innovate. What makes a Scout employee? Someone who is a visionary and a leader, who seeks new paths and shares lessons learned. A knowledgeable doer who collaborates across the company to build better. A go-getter with unrivaled passion.

Join us at Scout Motors and be part of shaping the future of transportation. If you're ready to drive change and make history, apply now!

About the Role

We’re looking for a highly skilled and story-driven Post-Production Specialist to join our talented in-house creative team. This role is perfect for someone who lives and breathes storytelling — someone who can take raw footage and transform it into compelling content that moves people, drives engagement, and reflects the heart of a brand built on community and connection. You’ll craft video and photo content, ranging from emotionally driven docu-style storytelling to high-energy, fast-cut promotional content, with a strong focus on cinematic storytelling, visual polish, and platform-tailored delivery.

This is not just about cutting clips — it’s about crafting emotional narratives, enhancing visual tone, and making each frame count. We’re looking for someone who’s a self-starter with a sharp creative eye, who thrives in fast-paced environments and brings ambition, drive, and initiative to every project.

Bonus points if you’ve got a passion for automotive and the outdoors, the culture that surrounds them, and how to bring them to life in a way that resonates across today’s digital landscape.

What you’ll do

Become part of an iconic brand that is set to revolutionize the electric pick-up truck & rugged SUV marketplace by achieving the following:

  • Craft Stories: Shape narratives from concept to final cut, editing footage into captivating, emotionally resonant content that aligns with brand tone and campaign goals.
  • Edit Across Formats: Deliver high-quality edits for a range of platforms — YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, paid ads, and brand films — each with their own pacing, format, and visual style.
  • Photo Editing & Retouching: Support the creative team with photo editing, color grading, and visual refinement for both digital and print use.
  • Motion Graphics & Title Design: Create clean, engaging motion graphics and title sequences that enhance storytelling and improve content clarity across platforms.
  • Color & Sound: Apply color correction and grading (especially using DaVinci Resolve), and ensure sound design, music, and dialogue work in harmony with the visuals.
  • Collaborate Closely: Work side-by-side with producers, creatives, and brand teams to interpret briefs, meet timelines, and push the visual narrative forward.
  • Pitch Story Ideas: Proactively pitch story concepts that align with brand goals, resonate with target audiences, and bring fresh, creative energy to the editorial calendar.
  • Operate Independently: Take ownership of your projects from kickoff to delivery — managing deadlines, feedback rounds, and versioning with minimal oversight.
  • Asset Management: Maintain organized file structures, project files, and version control across all post-production assets and archives.

  • A bachelor’s degree in marketing, Communications, Film, Digital Media or a related field preferred, or equivalent professional experience.
  • 4-8 years of experience in a marketing or automotive environment, preferably in a content production role.
  • A deep passion for storytelling, with a portfolio that shows your ability to evoke emotion and build narrative arcs — even in short-form content.

    • Adobe Creative Suite (especially Premiere Pro, After Effects, Photoshop, and Lightroom)
    • DaVinci Resolve for color grading and advanced editing
  • A keen eye for cinematic language — pacing, framing, color, and rhythm — with the ability to translate that across different digital platforms.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, often across multiple projects, while maintaining a high standard of craft.
  • A natural self-starter with strong organizational skills, time management, and a proactive mindset — you’re someone who anticipates needs and takes initiative.
