Operations Manager (Rooms)

The Operations Manager is a Rooms Division based role with primary responsibility for the daily operation of Camp Seafire. This includes overseeing schedules, staffing, safety standards and program delivery to ensure a smooth and engaging experience for all guest’s children. The Manager is responsible for the day to day execution of camp activities, staff supervision and coordination of resources, as well as supporting the implementation of new activities and operational improvements. In addition, the role provides hands on operational support to the Hotel Front Desk and other Rooms Division functions as required to maintain service standards and overall operational flow.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Ensure the safety and security of all Camp Seafire participants by maintaining established protocols and providing clear, effective leadership aligned with the department’s vision and goals.
  • Oversee the design, approval, and execution of all Camp programs, ensuring activities are engaging, age appropriate and aligned with resort standards.
  • Plan, organize, and supervise recreational activities for children and families, including camp programming and resort wide activities for kids and adults.
  • Lead the planning and execution of special events within the Camp and collaborate on resort wide youth and family experiences.
  • Manage camp resources, including inventory control, supply ordering, and appropriate use of equipment and facilities.
  • Support revenue goals by managing programming, participation levels, and operational efficiency.
  • Partner with the Marketing team on initiatives and promotions to support Camp visibility and participation.
  • Recruit, select, onboard, train, and mentor camp staff to ensure high performance and engagement.
  • Ensure high guest service standards and a positive employee experience through daily oversight, coaching, and leadership presence.
  • Monitor guest feedback through daily audits and observations, actively addressing opportunities to improve satisfaction.
  • Provide training and operational support to Front Office and other Rooms Division staff as assigned, ensuring team members remain current on procedures and service standards.
  • Ensure compliance with security, financial, and information protection policies at all times.
  • Perform additional projects and responsibilities as assigned to support departmental and resort operations

SPECIFIC EXPERIENCE WE'RE SEEKING:

  • Minimum 2 years of experience leading or supervising children in recreational or camp style environments.
  • At least 3 years of hospitality experience, including team supervision.
  • Strong interest in working with children and youth programs.
  • Ability to solve problems quickly and work well under pressure.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Valid Cayman Islands driver’s license.
  • Ability to support marketing initiatives and promotions.
  • Experience using POS systems and following financial procedures.
  • Ability to organize and manage group events and parties.
  • Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Pediatric CPR and First Aid certified (or willing to obtain).
  • Strong understanding of guest expectations, service recovery and how to consistently deliver a positive guest experience.
  • Understanding of room inventory, labor control, cash handling, and compliance procedures.
  • Capable of managing multiple tasks, prioritizing effectively, and maintaining operational flow.
  • Ability to understand and use labor analysis data (hours, productivity, forecasts, and cost controls) to support staffing decisions and operational efficiency.

Salary range: $65,000.00 USD - $76,000.00 USD annually
