The Accountant, Fixed Assets & Inventory will join our Accounting department as part of a high growth company launching into international markets. Enhance your skills through diverse challenges and projects relating to the Company’s fixed assets, intangibles and inventory, including accounting for our flagship SkyTab POS equipment.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monthly Closing – Participate in monthly closing processes for fixed assets, intangibles and inventory, including journal entries, roll forwards and balance sheet reconciliations. Create, monitor, and retire assets within the fixed assets module.
  • Data Analysis – Analyze financial results to identify unexpected variances. Provide flux commentary on Balance Sheet and Income Statement for accounts relevant to fixed assets and inventory. Review capital expenditures and apply appropriate accounting treatment.
  • Enhancements – Collaborate with business partners to improve accuracy and efficiency of processes related to fixed assets and inventory. Integrate acquisitions into corporate workflow, as necessary. Identify and implement automation improvements within processes.
  • System & Document Maintenance – Maintain fixed asset modules within ERP system across various legal entities to ensure accuracy. Maintain accounting policies and procedures that exude the highest level of efficiency while conserving internal controls and compliance with US GAAP.
  • Financial Audits – Assist in internal and external audit requests and ensure compliance of all relevant SOX controls. Contribute to various special projects and perform other duties as required.

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting.
  • At least 3-5 years of related experience.
  • ERP experience – Oracle EBS/Oracle Fusion a plus.
  • Hands on general ledger experience preferred.
  • Excellent Excel skills and strong Microsoft Office, Outlook, and Word.
  • Great attention to detail.
  • Ability to work in a fast paced, hands-on environment.
  • Self-directed individual with strong motivation and willingness to take initiative.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to interact and partner with people at all levels and locations.
  • Flexibility, team orientation, ability and willingness to learn.
