THE OPPORTUNITY 

Silvus is seeking a Supplier Quality Compliance Officer who will report to the Quality Manager on the Quality Control team. This individual will oversee and ensure the compliance of Silvus’ supply base with applicable quality standards, including ISO 9001:2015 and AS9100. This role will focus on supplier audits, supplier development, and the continual monitoring and improvement of supplier quality performance. This role works closely with the Purchasing, Engineering, and Quality teams to drive supplier corrective actions and ensure the integrity of incoming materials and services. 

This position is fully onsite, Monday through Friday, at Silvus Technologies’ HQ in the heart of vibrant West Los Angeles.

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Monitor and ensure supplier compliance with Silvus’ quality requirements and applicable standards (e.g., ISO 9001, AS9100, IPC).
  • Conduct supplier audits (remote and on-site) to evaluate quality systems, processes, and compliance with contractual and regulatory requirements.
  • Manage and maintain supplier quality documentation, including approved supplier lists, audit records, and supplier scorecards.
  • Drive supplier corrective and preventive actions (SCARs), ensuring timely response, implementation, and verification of effectiveness.
  • Trackand report supplier quality performance metrics such as defect rates, on-time delivery, lead time, and responsiveness.
  • Review and approve supplier-submitted documentation, including First Article Inspection Reports (FAIRs), PPAP packages, and Certificates of Conformance (C of Cs).
  • Collaborate with the Purchasing, Engineering, and Production teams to address any supplier-related issues and support sourcing decisions.
  • Participate in supplier selection and qualification processes, including risk assessments.
  • Lead initiatives for supplier development and continuous improvement, supporting suppliers in achieving higher quality standards where needed.
  • Support internal audits and external customer/regulatory audits related to supplier quality compliance.
  • Report any supplier quality performance and compliance trends to management. Recommend actions for risk mitigation and improvement.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, quality, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Experience with supplier quality, auditing, or quality engineering in a manufacturing or electronics environment.
  • Strong knowledge of ISO 9001:2015, AS9100, and supplier quality management practices.
  • Certified Quality Auditor (CQA) or similar certification preferred.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
  • NOTE - Must be a U.S. Person (U.S. Citizen, or U.S. Permanent Resident) due to clients under U.S. federal contracts.
  • Employment is contingent upon the successful clearance of a background check.

 PREFERRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Project management.
  • Advanced spreadsheet and analytical skills.
  • Advanced documentation and organizational skills.
  • Knowledge of Zoho CRM.

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS

  • 50% travel requirement, at least once a month, 2-5 days in duration to conduct on-site audits at key supplier locations.

WORKING CONDITIONS & PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Office environment.
  • Lift equipment, up to 20 lbs., for testing.
  • Walking/Moving to different meetings.

COMPENSATION

The pay range is NOT a guarantee. It is based on market research and peer data, and will vary depending on the candidate’s experience and qualifications.

CA Pay Range

$80,000 - $90,000 USD
