We are looking for: Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) to play a pivotal role in ensuring our products meet the highest standards of quality and reliability. The ideal candidate designs, builds, and implements automated test frameworks and test cases, driving efficient development and testing cycles that empower our engineering teams to deliver exceptional results.
In this role, you will collaborate closely with engineers and Product Managers, providing valuable support and contributing to a culture of continuous improvement. Additionally, you will design and champion best practices for automated testing, mentoring your peers to elevate the quality and efficiency of our processes.
What will you be doing as a Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) at SimSpace?
- Design, build, and implement automated test frameworks and test cases to support high quality and efficient development and test cycles
- Collaborate with and support engineers and Product Managers
- Design and coach automated testing best practices

- Kotlin, Java, Spring Boot, TypeScript, React, Cypress, Playwright, Kubernetes, GitHub, GitHub Actions (CI/CD)
What are the qualifications to apply? To be successful as a Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET), you need:
- Strong Object Orientated coding skills
- Proficiency in the principles of Software Development including Quality (e.g. test methodology, process and approaches)
- Proficiency in Test Automation Frameworks and tools
- Experience in integration testing, API testing, Test Case Development, End-to-End (E2) Testing, Test Planning
- Ability to collaborate with other Engineers, User Experience Designers, SRE and Product Managers
- 5+ years of hands on software Development experience (SWE and/or SDET) or equivalent experience

Preferred, but not required:
- Experience in CI/CD processes and tools (e.g. github actions)
- Familiarity with Networking
- Experience in Contract testing
- Compensation. Base salary range: $150,000 - $210,000, reflecting our confidence in your expertise and impact, with the opportunity for annual bonuses tied to company performance and individual contributions.
