This role:

Simtra is seeking highly motivated undergraduate students for our Summer Internship Program. We look for diverse students with inquisitive minds and the desire to challenge themselves. Our interns work closely with industry professionals and learn quickly how to problem solve on real-world projects that contribute to clinical research and manufacturing processes. In addition to on-the-job experience, we offer learning sessions with top leadership, site visits to local projects and social events.

The Information Technology (IT) team focuses on the IT infrastructure, data management, and cybersecurity.  They offer IT support by troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues, support cybersecurity initiatives, works on data management, and maintains and enhances the IT infrastructure - including cloud services and enterprise systems.

The intern will work on the following projects:

  • Conference Room Modernization - replace/refresh hardware, document process, train users, troubleshoot and provide hypercare as rooms come online
  • Digital Signage Modernization - replace/refresh hardware, document process, train users, troubleshoot and provide hypercare as displays are replaced
  • Implement Office Reservation System - Implement application to reserve office space in collaboration with Technology team members in Halle site
  • Assist and support activities as they relate to Simtra Domain Migration - Domain migration is process of moving ~ 290 devices from baxter.com domain to simtra.com domain
  • Provide Level 1 and 2 user and production support, addressing hardware and software issues. Offer assistance with additional projects and tasks as they arise, contributing to a wide range of learning opportunities within the Technology department

 

Required qualifications:

  • Pursuing a BS degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field
  • Knowledge of networking, databases, and programming languages (Python, Java, SQL)
  • Knowledge of troubleshooting IT issues and working with technical and non-technical internal and external customers
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), cloud platforms, and IT support tools
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Highly motivated, self-driven individual with passion working within pharmaceutical industry
