Technical Art Director
We’re looking for a knowledgeable and self-starting Technical Art Director to help our clients get the most out of their Google Display creative and media with Smartly. This person will report to our Head of Creative in North America and work closely with our clients and design team to drive innovation, provide design expertise, and safeguard our process.

Process guardian

Be the guardian of our creative process – in front of clients, and in collaboration with our design and production teams

Lead conversations with clients about our process – what to expect at each stage, and what is needed from them

Collaborate and communicate effectively with client services, creative leadership, design, production, project management and QA at every stage of the process

Be on the lookout for areas of risk or friction, and take action to resolve issues within the process
Design Expertise

Share knowledge of best practices within digital advertising and content with clients, as it relates to our product and process.

Advise, review and critique design outputs at all stages of the Smartly creative process.

Know our product inside and out, and how clients can use Smartly with their own creative guidelines to get the most out of their campaigns.

Explain complex topics – such as creative production techniques – to clients who may not have any design experience.

Have minimum 5 years experience in digital advertising or studio management.

BA or BFA in Graphic Design or equivalent experience.
- Are knowledgeable of the capabilities of HTML5 and principles of dynamic advertising is a must.

Are knowledgeable of best practices in digital marketing and advertising.

Are familiar with popular social media platforms.

Have experience working with designers and creative teams.

Are knowledgeable of Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Figma and other industry standard tools

Have excellent presentation and communication skills

Are skilled in the art of prioritizing and managing work and resources across engagements based on short- and long-term needs.
- Comfortable with working in NorAm schedule (night shift).
