We're seeking a design-first Creative Technologist with strong creative direction experience to join SparkWorks – our in-house team at the intersection of creativity and technology. This role is ideal for a hands-on designer with a strategic mindset and deep expertise in performance-driven digital advertising.

A strong, relevant portfolio is required, showcasing your ability to concept, design, and execute impactful creative for paid social and digital campaigns.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead concept development, visual direction, and design for campaign-ready assets across paid social platforms (Meta, TikTok, Pinterest, Snap, Google, etc.).
  • Develop prototypes and design mockups to pitch and bring creative strategies to life across channels and full-funnel experiences.
  • Collaborate closely with Creative, Production, and Customer Success teams to deliver scalable design solutions using Smartly’s proprietary creative tools.
  • Guide clients and agencies on channel best practices and scalable creative strategies that maximize performance through Smartly’s platform.
  • Apply a deep understanding of creative technology and adtech workflows to produce and activate impactful campaign assets.
  • Become a Smartly creative tech power user, blending tools like Adobe Creative Suite with Smartly features (Template Editor, Producer, AI Playground) in your daily creative execution.
  • Offer product feedback to enhance the usability and impact of Smartly’s creative capabilities.
  • Help foster a creative culture grounded in experimentation, innovation, and design excellence.

Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of experience as an Art Director or Digital Designer, ideally with a focus on social and performance marketing.
  • Strong portfolio that demonstrates creativity, technical ability, and a command of adtech/paid digital channels.
  • Expertise in Adobe Creative Suite; bonus for experience with 2D/3D tools and Figma.
  • Deep understanding of social platforms and audience-driven campaign design.
  • Strong communicator and confident presenter with a collaborative, cross-functional mindset.
  • Knowledge of how to scale creative across markets, platforms, and performance strategies.
  • Familiarity with SaaS platforms and how to translate complex tools into campaign-ready creative.
  • Proficiency in cloud-based tools like Google Workspace and Highspot.

The base pay range for this position is as mentioned below per year, plus annual bonus. We take into consideration an individual’s background, expertise, and experience in determining final salary.
