Location:  SMCP North America Corporate Office @ 44 Wall Street, New York, NY

Pay & Schedule: $17/hour, 40 hours/week

The SMCP Group is a combination of two Contemporary Luxury Ready-To-Wear brands for Women / Men:  Sandro + Maje.  The North America business unit's corporate office has been located in NYC since 2011.  Over the past 11 years, we have grown to over 168 points of distribution across the US + Canada in addition to our online business.

Our Corporate Internship is based out of our NYC Corporate office. This is a paid internship. Start date is August 2025, and candidates must be available to work in our New York City HQ office, 3 days/week through mid- December 2025.

What You'll Be Doing:

Job responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

  • Generate and analyze weekly/monthly performance reports, highlighting best sellers and key insights.  
  • Conduct regular product performance analysis, creating recaps and trends for review. 
  • Assist in preparing monthly business reviews and seasonal buying strategy presentations. 
  • Provide data support for market preparation, collection hindsight, and assortment planning. 
  • Compile and present competitive market analysis and trend recaps to inform buying decisions. 
  • Gather and consolidate retail feedback from stores to support product decisions. 
  • Assist with store visit preparation, including compiling bestsellers by region, and creating post-visit recaps. 
  • Support marketing and operational efforts by managing promotional style uploads and creating product knowledge materials for retail teams. 
  • Provide administrative and ad hoc support for merchandise-related projects and cross-functional collaboration with departments such as PR/Marketing, Visual Merchandising, and E-commerce. 

Who You Are:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills 
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and strong analytical capacity (Excel formulas, Excel Pivots, PowerPoint); prior Data Analyst experience needed  
  • Basic understanding of retail buying principles; Prior Merchandising experience preferred 
  • Enthusiastic team player with a can-do attitude 
  • Must be resourceful, proactive, organized, detail-oriented and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment 
  • Strong communication skills: able to clearly articulate ideas through both verbal and written communication 
  • Candidates should be available all 5 days a week, 3 days in the office as a hybrid working model
