Role Overview:

Are you an experienced finance professional who is ready for the next step? Then step into the world of PlayStation! For Sony Interactive Entertainment Benelux (SIEB) we are looking for a proactive Financial Controller who feels at home in a dynamic and international environment. Work at the heart of the gaming industry with well-known names such as Guerrilla B.V. (Amsterdam) and Nixxes Software (Utrecht) – studios behind globally beloved titles.

The office in Hilversum consist of 24 employees. The company has a branch in Belgium, SIE Belgium located in Zaventem.

What will you do?

As a Financial Controller, you are an important pivot within the Finance team in Hilversum, which consists of six finance professionals and one HR colleague. You will work closely with our Manager Financial Control SIE Benelux and have an impact on multiple entities within Sony:

  • You supervise the financial administration of Nixxes Software B.V. and are responsible for SIEB (BE branch)
  • You support monthly, quarterly and year-end closings for multiple entities,
  • You work with planning and reporting tools such as Anaplan and Adaptive
  • You answer technical accounting questions and prepare reports for stakeholders
  • You provide support with POs, orders and GR management
  • You are responsible for payroll in Belgium

What do you bring?

  • You speak and write Dutch and English fluently 
  • Education in Finance, Accounting or Economics
  • Several years of experience in a similar role within an international environment
  • Knowledge of IFRS and Dutch GAAP
  • Experience with SAP and preferably also SRM, BOBJ and Concur is a plus
  • Affinity with planning systems and good analytical skills

The ideal candidate has a broad experience and is willing to take things up, investigate and solve matters in various areas. The candidate has a pragmatic approach to challenges, has a lot of energy, attention for details and people. The ability to work in a fast changing matrix environment is required.

PlayStation has a flexible working policy, the team joins at the office in Hilversum at least two days a week.
