Brand Manager | Exclusive Games Marketing

 

PlayStation is looking to hire a Brand Manager to join the Global Brand Marketing Team, leading game launches for the PlayStation Studios portfolio. This role will report to the Senior Manager, Global Brand Marketing and will partner with studios and the Brand Marketing Team to lead the development and execution of marketing and commercial strategies for upcoming, high-profile franchise and new IP titles.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Build strategies that include defining audience framework, title positioning and an always-on content strategy that will achieve marketing objectives and revenue goals. Proven expertise in leading the development and execution of integrated business and marketing plans that drive measurable growth. 
  • Lead the development and execution of global, end-to-end, multi-channel go-to-market campaigns based on strategy.
  • Collaborate with global cross-functional teams including PR, Influencers, Partnerships, Paid Media, Social, Events & Activations, Web and CRM teams to develop and execute holistic global marketing campaigns and drive business success.
  • Work with regional marketing leads and localization teams across the globe to ensure consistent and strategic support for game launches.
  • Review and provide feedback on territory marketing concept submissions based on marketing strategy and budget.
  • Navigate delivering campaigns that support the creative vision of the studio while staying within budget, laddering up to communication goals, utilizing data and adhering to SIE best practices.
  • Author campaign creative briefs that meet marketing production timelines, route assets for stakeholder approval. Partner with internal and external creative agencies on budget, reviews and deliverable timelines.
  • Leverage support from consumer insights, platform teams, game telemetry, community, PR, and competitive trends to build and implement data-driven decision making and marketing strategies.
  • Create annual budget allocations and adjust budgets throughout the year.
  • Present plans to studios and leadership for approval.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Proven expertise in leading the development of marketing strategies and execution of performance-based marketing campaigns that drive measurable results.
  • Experience working internationally to localize assets and execute marketing campaigns for video games or similar entertainment offerings, with proven knowledge of major global media campaigns and performance reporting.
  • Strong communication, presentation and collaboration skills, with the ability to engage and influence internal and external stakeholders.
  • Possess a balance of emotional intelligence, analytical skills, organizational strength and storytelling ability. 
  • Demonstrate creative thinking through the development of innovative tactics and assets that ladder up to the strategy and marketing objectives.
  • Experience partnering with game development studios and managing
  • Knowledge and passion for video games.
  • Ability to travel 5%-10% and sometimes work outside of normal business hours to accommodate global marketing teams.

RELATED EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION:

  • 5+ years of experience launching and marketing video games or entrainment properties with similar deliverables.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
