CMF & Customization Associate Designer 
San Mateo, CA (hybrid) 

Role Overview:

The CMF & Customization Associate Designer supports the CMF team by assisting in the creation and refinement of Limited Edition designs, handling essential design tasks, and ensuring adherence to project timelines and quality standards. This role focuses on developing foundational CMF skills and technical support, contributing to high-quality design production while building a deeper understanding of CMF processes and techniques in a highly collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design Assistance: Collaborate with the Lead Designer to execute design tasks, including initial color correction, sample reviews, and preparing production files that adhere to brand standards and technical guidelines.
  • Production-Ready Materials: Support asset preparation for final production, assisting with CAD adjustments, vector editing, and file management. Ensure production files meet technical requirements.
  • Sample Review & Feedback: Assist in documenting and organizing feedback on product samples, helping evaluate colors, textures, and finishes against design expectations.
  • Work-Back Scheduling Support: Contribute to the development and maintenance of work-back schedules, tracking deadlines and supporting project milestones to ensure timely delivery.
  • Process Documentation: Maintain accurate records of design iterations, sample reviews, and production-ready files. Help organize CMF documentation and sample catalogs for team-wide consistency and accessibility.
  • Tool Proficiency: Advanced skills in Adobe Creative Suite, focusing on Illustrator, Photoshop, and proficiency in 3D visualization tools like Keyshot.

Qualifications:

  • Education: BA or BS in Fine Arts or Design preferred, or completion of a 2-year Technical College program in a design discipline, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience: 1-3 years in CMF, graphic design, or a related area. Exposure to product design or design internships preferred.
  • PlayStation fan a plus

At SIE, we consider several factors when setting each role’s base pay range, including the competitive benchmarking data for the market and geographic location.

Please note that the base pay range may vary in line with our hybrid working policy and individual base pay will be determined based on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location.

The estimated base pay range for this role is listed below.

$95,800 - $143,600 USD
