Role Overview

The Operations Solutions Manager is responsible for driving global logistics excellence by deeply analysing process flows, identifying operational waste, and implementing lean-based continuous improvement initiatives that enhance efficiency, standardisation, and overall performance. It uses robust, data-driven insights to optimise transport and network operations, improve key metrics such as safety, quality, delivery, and cost, and ensure logistics activities consistently support both operational effectiveness and strategic business goals. The Operations Solutions Manager also leads the development and adoption of standardised processes and automation solutions across regions, serving as a global super user for logistics systems while training and supporting teams to embed procedures and ensure accurate, reliable data across all platforms.

Please note this is a 12 month fixed term contract (FTC).

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyse global logistics processes to identify waste, inefficiencies, and opportunities for continuous improvement using lean methodologies.
  • Define, standardise, and enforce global logistics process standards while developing a structured roadmap of ongoing improvement initiatives.
  • Drive performance improvements across SQDC metrics, including product safety, service levels (OTS, OTD/OTIF), turnaround times, and cost reduction/avoidance.
  • Conduct detailed analytics on transport and network operations to improve loading efficiency, optimise trade lanes, and reduce logistics spending.
  • Lead automation and system enhancement efforts by acting as a global super user, designing solutions that reduce manual work, and ensuring accurate, reliable logistics data.
  • Champion global alignment by developing standard documentation and procedures, and training operational teams on new processes, tools, and system usage.

What we are looking for:

We are seeking a strategic problem solver with strong operational execution skills, a continuous improvement approach, and the business acumen to drive ROI-focused initiatives that deliver measurable value.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Industrial Engineering, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
  • 5+ years of experience in logistics operations, supply chain optimization, or process engineering.
  • Proven experience applying lean or Six Sigma methodologies.
  • Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Proficiency with logistics management systems (TMS, WMS, ERP) and data analysis tools (Excel, Power BI, SQL, etc.).
  • Strong project management and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration abilities
