This role will be 4 on 4 off shift pattern, and across either Blue or Yellow shift, 8am - 7pm: Onsite at our Liverpool Hall Street Office

Role Overview:

Ensure that all products are tested thoroughly against relevant TRC reference material and the department functions as a professional efficient team.  

What you'll be doing:

  • Maintain an in depth and up to date TRC knowledge using TRC/Test case documentation and supplementary information. 
  • Be able to answer TRC questions either directly or indirectly with full understanding of both the question and answer. 
  • Support and assist in the cross training of any member of staff when necessary. 
  • Be proactive in investigating new TRC situations/problems encountered by Compliance testers and pass on any findings to other Compliance Team Leaders and Compliance Supervisor. 
  • Discuss theories and opinions on new TRC guidelines/TRC Test cases/Testing procedures constructively. 
  • Maintain an in depth and up to date knowledge of SIE Naming Conventions, brand guidelines, PEGI ratings and SIE specifications and procedures. 
  • Liaise with Supervisors/Managers when additional processes are required, for example requesting patch deployments/VITA game package installation. 
  • Be proactive with other Compliance Team Leaders to improve the department in all areas whenever possible. 
  • Leading the testing of a title. 
  • Assign tasks to testers, track progress of the testing and ensure testers are reassigned new tasks promptly upon completion (e.g. a new title, cross training). 
  • Accurately report test hours per title and query any excess hours with testers. 
  • Source and distribute any required peripherals and materials which are needed for testing. 
  • Create accurate and clear handover documents. 
  • Provide testers with all of the materials needed to enable them to perform their role. 
  • Maintain bug reports 
  • Ensure all information entered into the database is 100% accurate and the correct classification, frequency and area have been selected. 
  • Set bugs to PR status. 
  • Respond promptly to any queries and communications from Supervisors/Managers regarding bug reports. 
  • Ensure that all SKUs of the title have had all relevant bugs copied into them. 
  • Monitor bug reports from other territories and cross reference where necessary. 
  • Ensure all applicable bugs are cross referenced. 
  • Educate Testers when encountering poorly written bugs. 
  • Log discs in and out of the disc room. 
  • Ensure that the working environment is comfortable for all employees. 
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment. 
  • Avert potential conflicts by fair and diplomatic means. 
  • Monitor the content of interactions between staff. 
  • Ensure that staff are not disruptive to those around them. 
  • Assist direct line manager in the investigation of any disciplinary issues that may require escalation. 
  • Ensure company property is correctly treated and report any misuse to direct line manager. 
  • Comply with department security policy at all times and be alert to any security issues that may occur and ensure that all staff follow suit. 
  • Ensure all staff are correctly following Compliance testing and office procedures and notify testers of any changes. 
  • Liaise with and positively develop/ enhance relationships with counterparts on opposite shift. 
  • Perform Return to Work meetings with staff returning from illness. 
  • Carry out Quarterly Reviews with your direct test team. 
  • Performance manage your direct test team and complete the staff performance tracker each shift giving a fair reflection of each individuals performance within your team. 
  • Highlight any under performers within your direct team and take appropriate action. 
  • Ensure that SHIP is used and followed. 
  • Ensure that all equipment is correctly signed in and out of the storeroom. 
  • Maintain accurate records regarding machines on soak each night. 
  • Adhere to/ensure all testers adhere to all additional policies, such as the Best Practice guide and Bugs policy, including VRC bugs verification. 
  • Ensure that all Performance Action Plans are carried out correctly. 
  • Ensure any required MDT updates are fed back to Supervisors in order to make any necessary changes. 
  • Manage other teams/colleagues’ staff in their absence when a Team Leader is not present. 

What we are looking for:

Technical Ability: 

  • Understanding gaming console(s) is an advantage, however not vital – as long as you feel you have a technical and curious attitude, we can offer training and development. 
  • Understanding of PC/Laptop usage – MS Office (Outlook, Word, xls)
