As Label Copy Coordinator, you will report to the Associate Director, Release Planning for Sony Music US Latin Label, located at our Miami Headquarters.
In this role, you will support the US Latin label group and our Distributed label’s rep-owned Label Copy entry; be accountable for data accuracy, setup in Sony’s GRPS system, including new participant creation, management of sample/interpolation setup, artist profile linking, and assignment of products #’s for all promo or commercial single tracks, albums, videos, digital-only products, and D2C merchandise.
What you'll do:
- Be an active participant in the US Latin “Workflow” process, which includes review/approval of all new track submissions, including publishing verification, information accuracy, and ISRC/product# assignment.
- Responsible for all label copy data entry, will liaise with A&R, A&R Admin, and Distributed label teams on compliant delivery of complete and accurate label copy information and confirming final label copy approvals.
- Work with Marketing and Digital Sales on any label copy/metadata updates and support confidential roll-out setup and a coordinated publish of metadata updates as needed.
- Respond to timely, last-minute requests from Sales, Marketing, A&R with sensitivity and responsibility, understanding the importance of publishing accurate credits and label copy.
- Support Associate Directors, Release Planning with ancillary label copy clean-up projects or other release planning tasks or projects as needed.
- Will be trained on Sony network systems including GRPS, AOMA, JIRA, and PRS.
Who you are:
- 4 Year College degree is required.
- You have general Copyright administration, publisher, and/or prior record industry production experience.
- You are fluent in English and Spanish is a plus!
- Very organized and result-oriented professional.
- You have a likable demeanor and thrive in a creative, fast-paced, and ever-changing work environment.
- Excellent communicator and enthusiastic collaborator who works well with team members, external partners, and senior management.
- You are thorough and thoughtful in your approach to problem-solving.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suites of applications (Word, Access, Outlook)
- Strong Excel skills.
