Head of Classical Music

Join SUPRAPHON and contribute to the development of our prestigious classical music catalogue. As Head of Classical Music, you will be at the centre of discovering, developing, and promoting exceptional recordings. Working closely with artists, partners, and our editorial board, you will guide projects from concept to release, ensuring SUPRAPHON’s legacy continues to inspire audiences worldwide.

What you'll do:

  • Collaborate with artists, orchestras, recording studios, sound engineers, and partners to bring projects smoothly from idea to release.
  • Manage key production processes – from preparing contracts and budgets to overseeing release documentation.
  • Play an active role on the editorial board, submitting proposals and shaping new recording opportunities.
  • Represent SUPRAPHON at meetings, festivals, and selected international events.
  • Support project financing through fundraising and creative partnerships.
  • Contribute to the curation of internal editorial playlists on major streaming platforms and identify opportunities to connect listeners with our classical music recordings.
  • Provide strategic leadership and direction for the classical music team, fostering collaboration, expertise, and long-term development.

Who you are:

  • You are passionate about classical music, with a strong understanding of both international and Czech repertoire.
  • You bring extensive experience across the full life cycle of classical recordings, from initial concept to publication.
  • You communicate clearly, build meaningful relationships, and stay organised under pressure.
  • You pay attention to detail, deliver reliably, and feel confident managing several projects at once.
  • You have in-depth knowledge of the Czech music environment and its key institutions.
  • You represent SUPRAPHON with professionalism and confidence, both at home and abroad.
