What You’ll Do:

We are looking for a Senior Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) to join our Human Resources (HR) team to continue building and creating an engaging environment where employees thrive, collaboration prevails, and performance excels, making Spotter the best place to work! Reporting to the Head of Human Resources, the Senior HRBP will work cross-functionally to develop, execute and manage various HR frameworks and programs focused on performance management, learning & development, employee onboarding/engagement along with various other human resources programs and initiatives. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in aligning HR strategies with business objectives, fostering a positive work culture, and supporting the overall success of the organization. As a Senior HBRP, you will serve as a trusted advisor to both management and employees, contributing to the development and implementation of HR initiatives that drive employee engagement, talent management, and organizational effectiveness. To be successful in this role, you must understand business priorities and translate them into the highest impact work. Position is based in Culver City.

The Senior HRBP will primarily:

Performance Management:

  • Administer the end-to-end performance management process, including 360◦ performance reviews, giving and receiving feedback training sessions, post-process data/metrics.
  • Collaborate with managers to ensure performance expectations align with organizational objectives and goals.
  • Monitor and analyze performance metrics to identify trends and areas for improvement.

Learning & Development

  • Responsible for identifying and assessing training program needs for all levels of the organization, determining viable vendors if necessary or designing and developing new training courses as needed.
  • Partner with department leaders on long-term development and performance strategies, helping department leaders define expectations and instill accountability.
  • Proactively connecting with managers to understand their teams’ development needs and provide suggestions for continued improvement and advancement.
  • Assesses employee training and development needs based on business strategy in order to help close gaps between current and future skills.

Immigration Case Management:

  • Manage and oversee all immigration cases, including work visas, green cards, postings and applications.
  • Collaborate with external immigration attorney to prepare and file all necessary immigration paperwork and documentation in compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Provide support to employees regarding immigration processes and requirements.

Company Culture

  • Continue to build out the culture committee and partner with the committee to organize and manage LA-based events. 
  • Lead and support the establishment and growth of Employee Resource Groups (ERGs), ensuring they align with organizational values and provide a supportive community for diverse employee groups (and allies).
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to define and implement cultural strategies that align with the company’s mission, vision, and values.
  • Evaluate and enhance office environments and resources to support employee well-being, work-life balance, and a collaborative atmosphere.
  • Monitor employee feedback and culture-related metrics to continuously improve and adapt cultural initiatives based on the needs and experiences of the workforce.

Miscellaneous Projects:

  • Ad hoc reporting and analyzing data (i.e. attrition, employee engagement and satisfaction, training metrics)
  • Identify opportunities for process and system enhancements, provide recommendations for improvement and execute.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of HR strategies, policies, and processes, ensuring consistency across the organization.
  • Influence business and talent initiatives that support our short and long-term business goals, including driving practices that enable high performance and operational excellence.
  • Perform other projects as required from time to time as assigned.
  • Recommend, develop, and implement new HR processes as required to grow the business.
  • Act as an executive coach when needed; hold a high bar for leadership values and behaviors.
  • Influence and/or deploy practices to increase employee engagement and satisfaction.

Who You Are:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field required (e.g., Industrial & Labor Relations, Human Resources Management, Human Resources Development, Psychology, Business, etc.) preferred.
  • 8+ years of experience working as a Human Resources Business Partner with an ability to translate business needs into HR solutions that drive engagement and performance.
  • SHRM, PHR or SPHR Certified is a plus.
  • Experience building and executing HR programs (i.e. feedback, performance management, culture surveys)
  • Proven experience in a fast-paced, high-growth company preferred.
  • Comfort navigating ambiguity and adapting to frequent change with strong problem-solving and decision-making
  • Entrepreneurial spirit, and a track record of taking initiative with excellent project management skills.
  • An effective communicator and natural relationship-builder who can collaborate with and influence a variety of work styles and personalities.
  • Able to easily build credibility with senior leaders.

  • A team player who works cross-functionally, acts with a sense of urgency and adapts to a fast-paced and ever-changing environment.

In compliance with local law, we are disclosing the compensation, or a range thereof, for roles that will be performed in Culver City. Actual salaries will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. A reasonable estimate of the current pay range is: $100K-$500K salary per year. The range listed is just one component of Spotter’s total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include an annual discretionary bonus and equity.
