If you are a talented and intensely curious Data Scientist with expertise in building deep learning models and fine-tuning and deploying Large Language Model we want to hear from you. You will fine-tune and serve cutting-edge models, directly enhancing the workflows of the world’s top YouTube creators. We prioritize results and seek individuals who thrive on making a tangible difference.

What You’ll Do

  • Fine-tune and deploy Large Language Models (LLMs) and pipelines for YouTube creator tools, with weekly updates.
  • Collaborate within a small, agile team (approximately 15 people) in a dynamic startup-like environment, fostering camaraderie and diverse perspectives.
  • Engage in continuous learning and development, staying updated on industry trends, peer insights, and creator needs.
  • Optimize LLM training and serving techniques to improve model quality and performance.
  • Develop and deploy LLMs for content generation tasks.
  • Share research findings and results with other modelers.
  • Stay current with advancements in NLP and LLMs, applying new techniques as needed.
  • Evaluate model architectures and optimize hyperparameters through experimentation and benchmarking.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve model training and deployment issues.
  • Partner with product teams to ensure high-quality product delivery, balancing short-term goals with long-term growth.

Who You Are

  • PhD in Data Science related field (Machine Learning, Computer Science, Statistics, etc...) plus 6 months to one year experience
  • Hands-on experience in developing deep learning models (CNNs, RNNs, LSTM, etc...),
  • Expertise optimizing model training, tuning, and deploying Large Language Models such as GPT, LLaMA, BERT, or other Transformer-based architectures
  • Knowledgeable in tokenization and embeddings, transfer learning, meta learning and predictive modeling.
  • Expertise in visualizing and manipulating big datasets.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and 
  • Intensely curious to learn how AGI is evolving day in and day out.
  • Excited about creators 
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Take a creative and strategic approach to solve hard problems. Simplify the complex. Bring in fresh ideas from new places.

In compliance with local law, we are disclosing the compensation, or a range thereof, for roles that will be performed in Los Angeles. Actual salaries will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. A reasonable estimate of the current pay range is: $150K-$170K salary per year. The range listed is just one component of Spotter’s total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include an annual discretionary bonus and equity.
