As the Director, People Business Partner, you will report to the Senior Director, People Business Partner and support Spring Health’s Chief Technology Officer, Chief Product Officer, and Chief Operating Officer. You will drive People strategy for each of these functions, cultivating a high-performing and thriving culture for the teams who bring Spring Health’s offerings to life.
This is a full-time role with people management responsibilities and occasional visits to our New York, NY office.
What you’ll be doing:
- Partner with senior leaders to understand business goals and align People strategies with these objectives, fostering a proactive approach to people management
- Influence and guide leaders on complex organizational and people challenges, offering solutions that align with company culture and long-term goals
- Provide coaching to executives on performance management, leadership development, and succession planning
- Lead initiatives for organizational effectiveness, talent planning, and workforce development to support scaling and expansion
- Drive cultural transformation efforts, focusing on building a diverse, inclusive, and resilient workforce
- Collaborate with Employee Experience to create programs that support professional growth, leadership, and functional capabilities
- Address complex employee relations issues, balancing business needs with employee advocacy
- Implement strategies to promote engagement, retention, and overall employee satisfaction
- Lead and support initiatives around employee wellbeing, a Thriving culture, and DEI
- Use HR metrics, data, and insights to drive decisions and measure the effectiveness of HR initiatives
- Collaborate with HR teams to enhance data collection and reporting processes, ensuring actionable insights on workforce trends
- Guide leaders through organizational change, ensuring alignment and understanding at all levels
- Develop and implement communication strategies to support major transformations and company-wide initiatives
- Educate managers and employees on navigating change, providing tools and resources to foster adaptability

What we expect from you:
- 10+ years experience in People Business Partner roles supporting senior executives
- 3+ years of management experience
- Proven experience with complex, cross-functional change management
- Located within commuting distance of NYC preferred; some travel required if remote
- Experience supporting R&D teams preferred
- Experience scaling a company through hypergrowth preferred
- Strong competence within the HR function including employee relations, coaching, compliance, communications, and change management
- Strong analytical capabilities and an ability to influence managers/leaders with data-driven recommendations to improve performance, retention, and the employee experience
- Highly productive and influential in fast-paced environments
- Effective coaching and facilitation skills, adept at influencing colleagues at any level
The target base salary range for this position is $149,000 - $198,000, and is part of a competitive total rewards package including stock options and benefits. Individual pay may vary from the target range and is determined by a number of factors including experience, location, internal pay equity, and other relevant business considerations. We review all employee pay and compensation programs annually using Radford Global Compensation Database at minimum to ensure competitive and fair pay.
