IT Support Specialist

Job Summary
We’re seeking a passionate and skilled IT Support Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate is someone who is enthusiastic about technology, stays ahead of industry trends, and thrives in a collaborative environment. This role will be the first line of defense for all IT requests, providing technical support to employees and ensuring a seamless IT experience across the organization.
Key Responsibilities

Technical Support & Troubleshooting
- Provide hands-on technical support for macOS devices and Office365.
- Act as the first responder for IT requests via the company’s ticketing system.
- Troubleshoot and resolve software, hardware, and network issues efficiently.
- Support and maintain desktop computers, peripherals, and corporate wireless networks.
- Provide VPN and network connectivity support.

IT Systems & Security
- Monitor and maintain endpoint protection software, remediating issues proactively.
- Ensure compliance with best practices in IT security and data protection.
- Support MDM (Mobile Device Management) solutions such as Jamf.
- Assist in maintaining SSL certificates and securing SSH access.

Documentation & Process Improvement
- Create and maintain IT documentation and internal Knowledge Base articles.
- Identify recurring IT issues and recommend process improvements.
- Stay informed of emerging technologies and suggest relevant IT solutions.

Collaboration & Office Presence
- Work cross-functionally with teams to resolve IT-related challenges.
- Provide on-site support at least three days per week.
- Assist with multiple ongoing IT projects to improve workflows.
Qualifications
- 2-3+ years of experience in IT support, helpdesk, or a related field.
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related discipline (or equivalent work experience).
- Strong troubleshooting skills with macOS and Office365.
- Familiarity with basic networking concepts (TCP/UDP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, SSL).
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize IT issues effectively.
Nice to Have (Preferred Skills)
- Experience with AWS/RedHat-based Linux OS.
- Familiarity with AWS or Azure account management.
- Knowledge of SSO integrations using SAML.
- Experience with Atlassian products (JIRA, Confluence).
- Proficiency in monitoring tools such as Zabbix, Nagios, or SolarWinds.
