Senior Director, Capital Markets

 
Sunnova based in Houston Texas, is actively recruiting for a Senior Director of Capital Markets who will be responsible for sourcing, structuring, and executing debt and equity financings. The role requires the ability to supervise junior staff, and to develop relationships and communicate effectively with investors, lenders and financial institutions The Senior Director of Capital Markets reports to the Vice President of Capital Markets. 

 

Senior Director, Capital Markets Responsibilities

      • Source, structure, execute, and monitor tax equity financings.
      • Execute third party opportunities for debt and financing.
      • Provide leadership and demonstrate creativity in capital structures, investment options and forecasting in conjunction with senior finance leadership.
      • Remain abreast of fluctuations in the capital markets and submarket activity
      • Communicate and manage potential investors and financing sources.
      • Create customized presentations and proposals.
      • Participate in multi-faceted, complex deal negotiations with a variety of potential partners.
      • Work closely with the Chief Executive Officer and the Chief Financial Officer to define, research and prioritize key opportunities and provide go-forward recommendations.
      • Perform any other duties as assigned. 

Minimum Requirements

      • Tax equity financing expert with knowledge of the tax equity market’s players, understanding of tax equity structures.
      • Experience negotiating, structuring, and executing tax equity financings.
      • Undergraduate degree in Finance, Accounting or other related business field required.
      • MBA, CFA and /or CPA strongly preferred.
      • 7+ years of experience in high quality, global capital markets or investment management firms, with expertise in capital markets and debt financing.
      • Knowledge of alternative investment securities including leveraged loans, derivatives, and securities.
      • Strong analytic background and valuation modeling expertise coupled with strategic problem-solving abilities.
      • Success in an environment of constant change and expansion of responsibilities.
      • Hands -on, team oriented with a track record of “rolling up their sleeves” along with personal and professional integrity of the highest order.
      • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
