About the Job:
The Manager, Franchisee Health & Compliance is a key leader on the Franchising & Development Strategy Team, driving financial performance and healthy growth across the KFC US franchisee system. Providing high-impact leadership for critical aspects of franchisee-facing work, including compliance, collections, financial health, and ownership transfers, this role also serves as a Pillar Leader for the Path to Profitability strategic initiative. Significant cross-functional collaboration is required, providing high visibility to the LT and to Franchisees. This role has a direct report.
The Day-to-Day:
- Own and evolve all aspects of monitoring and reporting on the health and compliance of the KFC US franchisee system. This includes:
- Monitor franchisee compliance with financial metrics and contractual requirements across functional areas (financial, legal, development, operational). Ensure timely royalty payments and partner with franchisees to develop creative payment solutions when necessary. Communicate effectively with KFC US LT, Franchisees, and cross-functional partners.
- Oversee franchisee financial health and deliver actionable insights. Direct the annual Strategic Business Review of franchisees with >25 stores, creating detailed financial, operational, and structural insights for benchmarking and trend analysis. Champion adoption of tools like ILumen, maximizing benefits and improving efficiency.
- Create framework to triage financially “At Risk” franchisees. Implement mitigation plans, support restructuring, or facilitate ownership transitions as necessary. Analyze audited and internal financial statements to create accurate projections that drive strategic business decisions and proactively identify systemic risks and performance trends.
- Build and maintain relationships with franchisees, sister-brand peers, and lenders, influencing and leveraging relationships to align decisions with KFC US Strategic goals.
- Lead the Franchise Ownership change process for franchisee-to-franchisee transactions and drive succession planning strategy. Create comprehensive approval memorandums supported by financial due diligence and financial analysis, including cash flow projections and scenario analysis, Term Sheet/Loan reviews, Development Obligation reviews, new franchisee financial qualification analysis, and overall strategic assessment of potential deals. Work with development team to ensure development obligations support brand goals and FZ health. Direct cross-functional workstreams as Deal Lead (Project Manager), shepherding deals to completion.
- Deliver on key Strategic Goal (Path to Profitability) by serving as key Pillar Leader for data tracking, analysis, and reporting. Provide insights that lead to greater profitability and ensure data-driven business decisions.
- Assist in valuation modeling, diligence, deal structuring, and integrations efforts in M&A deals, as well as other projects as assigned.
Is This You?
- Education:
- BS required, preferably in Finance/Business or related field. MBA or CPA strongly preferred.
- Experience:
- Minimum of 7 years’ directly applicable work experience in finance or accounting roles.
- Skills:
- Demonstrated strong analytical and problem-solving abilities leading to commercial business insight.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively multi-task and generate actionable recommendations.
- Excellent interpersonal and team skills. Comfort influencing and presenting to internal and external senior leadership.
- Strong modeling and financial statement analysis skills. Ability to craft compelling PowerPoint decks.
- Ability to efficiently manage workload well with shifting priorities. Ability to work independently and multi-task in fast-paced and deadline-driven environment.

Salary Range: $122,100 - 129,240 annually + bonus eligibility + benefits
