TDI is looking for a Director of Marketing to drive a multi-channel marketing communications strategy that projects our brand into new segments while staying true to our heritage in the US intelligence and policy community.

Since 1999, TDI has been at the forefront of delivering actionable intelligence, professional analysis, and customized technology solutions to help companies, organizations, and high-net worth individuals mitigate risk and solve operational problems in the world’s most challenging environments. We combine strategic advisory, investigative expertise, and cutting-edge Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) to help clients make the right calls at the right times.

TDI seeks a visionary and energetic marketing professional to tell our story and introduce our expanding capabilities to new audiences beyond those “in the know” who already recognize TDI as a leader in our field.  We are looking for people who can think critically and conceptually, but who are not intimidated by putting in the hours to adhere to TDI’s rigorous standards of execution.

What You’ll Be Doing (Your Superpowers)

  • Develop and execute marketing strategies that project TDI’s capabilities while remaining true to our values of balanced judgment and discretion.
  • Define and communicate clear, compelling messaging in selected media channels to support revenue generation.
  • Strengthen our presence across multiple online and offline platforms.
  • Identify and drive opportunities to showcase TDI’s thought leadership across multiple geographies and subject areas.
  • Work closely with Sales and Product teams to ensure marketing aligns with business goals.
  • Optimize the marketing budget (smart spending is key) to maximize impact.
  • Lead, grow, and inspire a team of marketing communication professionals.

What We’re Looking For (The Dream Candidate)

  • At least seven years of B2B marketing experience, preferably including some businesses with professional services, SaaS and/or tech enabled services businesses. Risk or intelligence related experience is a plus but not required.
  • Experience is one of TDI’s industry focus areas is a plus (life sciences, energy, legal/consulting, private capital and advanced industrial) but not required.
  • A rare blend of creativity, critical thinking, and data-driven decision-making.
  • A strong communicator who knows how to craft compelling narratives.
  • Experience leading multi-channel marketing campaigns that drive revenue.
  • Tech-savvy, with proficiency in marketing automation tools, CRM software (Salesforce), and analytics.
  • A hands-on leader who knows how to inspire and grow a team.
  • Ability to navigate the challenge of working with multiple internal stakeholder groups, each with different needs and styles.
  • Preference to Washington D.C. area based.

Compensation: $135,000 – $190,000 annualized
