Senior Full-Stack Developer (AWS/Node) - Contract

The Role

We are seeking a skilled Senior Full-Stack Developer who is proficient with Node.JS and AWS CDK. You will be responsible for implementing solutions that work closely within the context of multiple platforms, SaaS products, and cloud applications. The ideal candidate will bring their extensive experience to the table and provide internal and external teams feedback on building the most robust software platforms possible.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience in software development.
• Node.js development experience using TypeScript and JavaScript.
• Proficient with AWS services, including Lambda functions.
• Experience with AWS CDK and Infrastructure as Code tools such as CloudFormation or Terraform.
• Experience using NoSQL databases such as AWS DynamoDB.
• Experience with React.
• Proficient in building and consuming REST APIs.
• Strong knowledge of JavaScript, CSS, and HTML for front-end development.
• Highly skilled in one or more database technologies: MySQL, DynamoDB, MSSQL, NoSQL, T-SQL, and Stored Procedures.
• Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends.

Nice to Have:

• Experience in decomposing monolithic applications into microservices.
• Proficient in AWS services, including Lambda functions
• Familiarity with DevOps practices and CI/CD tools such as AWS CodePipeline, AWS CodeBuild, and GitHub Actions.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code, such as CloudFormation or Terraform
• Experience with Serverless Frameworks is a plus.
• Knowledge of APM tools such as AWS Xray, Nagios, Datadog, NewRelic, AppDynamics, and Zenoss.
• Understanding of networking concepts and protocols.
• Strong understanding of security best practices, including OWASP Top 10, PCI-DSS, SOC II, and HIPAA compliance.
