Job Description:
As a Consultant supporting our Federal government client, you will work as part of an innovative team to research, prepare, and deliver high-quality solutions. You will be trusted to complete tasks independently, begin leading others in completing tasks, and contribute to the overall team effort to solve challenging problems for the benefit of our customers.
The successful candidate will have the ability to:
- Support engagement efforts by assisting with communication and collaboration between internal and external teams, ensuring alignment with program objectives.
- Assist program leadership in developing and implementing engagement strategies, operational processes, and service level agreements to support strategic goals.
- Collaborate in the development of agendas, briefing materials, and meeting summaries for governance boards, regional meetings, and strategic planning sessions.
- Contribute in translating client requirements related to mission-oriented projects or learning management into actionable organizational plans.
- Support the Project Manager in developing deliverables, including data collection, analysis, and research on best practices, benchmarking, and organizational development.
- Support the preparation of abstracts, award submissions, and presentation materials for relevant conferences and events.
- Assist in creating and maintaining content for various agreements, collaborations, fellowship programs, and operational procedures to facilitate engagement efforts.
- Coordinate between teams to support complex efforts and ensure objectives are met, assisting in the smooth execution of initiatives.
- Support the application of process improvement methodologies and tools in learning management and course development projects.
- Apply knowledge of industry best practices and business process transformation techniques to support key initiatives and contribute to project success.
- Assist senior team members in providing strategic guidance and support in client interactions.
- Provide assistance and coordination to junior consultants and staff, supporting their tasks and ensuring the completion of deliverables as directed.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, management, public administration, or related discipline
- 4+ years of relevant, professional experience in program management or related fields.
- Strong experience with budgeting, financial planning, and resource allocation.
- Experience in the creation of strategic communication materials (e.g., executive briefs, presentations, and reports) for senior leadership or external stakeholders.
- Curious and open-minded approach to work
- Thrive in a continuous Build-Measure-Learn cycle
- Engage with technology—with comfort and ease (PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Teams, Monday, Slack, etc.)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust security clearance
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge of Human-Centered Design/Design Thinking, employee experience, customer experience, and/or service design
- Experience consulting or working for the Federal government
Job Location and Travel Expectations:
- This position is remote. Some travel (<25%) is anticipated.
- Some meetings will be conducted on-site with customers in Washington, D.C.
